Fall Festival

Once again, on the second weekend of October, the Town of Wayne, West Virginia held it's Fall Festival...... and a good one it was. Festivities began on Friday night with entertainment provided by several Bluegrass Bands. Rides had been erected for the entertainment of the younger ones. Booths had been set up to display various wares. Saturday would bring a parade through the town. There was an antique car show in the afternoon.  Gospel music filled the air during the day followed with  Rock music in the evening .

Enjoy the pictorial story below !!

The parade began on Saturday morning.  Among the first was the Wayne High School Band.

Followed by a lovely Beauty Queen.

Then came the Tolsia High School Band.

There were Goblins and Witches.

A Senior Group from Steptown followed.

There were old cars.

The Wayne Fire Department displayed their equipment.

And of course, one cannot have a parade without horses.

After the parade, there were old cars to view and appreciate.

Booths, which had been set up on Friday night, now swung into action.

There was much horse trading going on.

Most of the youngsters were enjoying the rides.

While a devout group of young skateboarders were doing their thing.

As the evening approached, the musicians began their entertainment.

As dusk approached, a beautiful October sky completed the day.

The rides lasted well into the night.  Another year has passed, but we shall be looking forward to seeing all of you again next year !!
