Preceded in death by her husband, Denver Jordan; her stepmother, Fern Leep; one sister, Charlotte Crockett; one granddaughter, Sheila Marie Saunders; and two sons-in-law, Ricky Black and Jessie Bradshaw. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cathy Jordan; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jeannie and Eugene Adkins, Brenda and Richard McGlone and Robbie Black; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Leep Jr. and Dorothy and Ivan Wandell and Arella Leep; six sisters, Reba Smith, Dema Blankenship, Janice Bradshaw, Barbara Perry, Eva Simmons and JoAnn Adkins. DIED - AUGUST 28, 2002 ** MRS. BERTHA M. NOE of Cloverdale (OR) died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at the age of 76. Born the daughter of Michael and Mary (Meder) Madachy March 3. 1926, in Huntington. W. Va., she had lived in the Closerdale area since 1993. After graduating from St. Joseph High School in West Virginia, Bertha went to work for a major coal mining company as a secretary. She worked there until 1959, when she married Frederick Noe. She didn’t work outside the home again until the 1980s, when she spent five years as the curator of a museum in Lakewood, Ohio. Bertha was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cloverdale, also serving with the Altar Snciety. She was involved with the Kiawanda Community Center in Pacific City, and the South County Extension. In her spare time, she was a wonderful quilter and was quite gifted doing embroidery and needlework. She also loved to play bridge and MahJongg. Her survivors include: her husband of 42 years, Fred Noe of Cloverdale; children, Victoria Noe of Ballwin, Mo., Tim Noe of Lakewood, Ohio, and Michael Noe of Ballwin, Mo.; brothers, Richard Madachy of Columbus, Ohio, and James Madachy of Columbia, Md.; sisters, Mary Pifko of Loretto, Pa., and Frances Madachy of Pacific City. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was Sept. 2. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cloverdale, with the Mass of Christian Burial following.
