JAMES WILLIAM PINSON, 86, of Ceredo, W.Va. died Sunday, December 3, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. A celebration of his life will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Ceredo, of which he was a member, with the Rev. Rodney Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Kenova. Jim was born August 2, 1920, to George and Ruth McCoy Pinson. He retired after 41 years of service, as the Vice President of Sales and Engineering from Union Concrete and Pipe Co. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II, landing at Omaha Beach during the Normandy invasion and participating during the entire European campaign. He was awarded the Purple Heart with two clusters and the Bronze Star. He was a member of American Legion Post #93 Kenova, whose members will conduct graveside rites. The service Jim gave to his country, the community where he lived and especially his love for his family and friends will always be remembered. He is survived by his beloved wife, Berta Kidd Pinson; two daughters and one son-n-law, Marsha and Gary Adkins of Gaston, S.C., and Phyllis Capehart of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren, Dr. Bruce Capehart, Alex Capehart, Melissa Grubbs and Aaron Grubbs; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Grubbs, Virginia Capehart, Camille Capehart, Benjamin Capehart and Juliette Capehart; and his sister, Kathryn Hatten of Ceredo. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ceredo. Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova is in charge of the arrangements.

LESTER PAUL STURGELL, born January, 1936. A retired coal miner and long time member of the Neely Branch United Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 34 years; went to be with the lord on Monday, December 4, 2006. He ws preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Lottie Fitchpatrick Sturgell, and his parents Orvill and Sausby Sturgell. Sisters Garnett Whitt and Lena Whitt and Lena Mae Ficthpatrick Perry, sisters; four grandchildren; Terry, Kenneth and Paul Ward, Nadine (Graley) and Jacob Kent Sturgell, one son-in-law, Mitchell Wheeler. Survivors include: 11 children; Sharon (Terry) Ward, Nadine (Graley) Brewer, Jaff (Theresa) Sturgell, Adelene (Barry) Richardson, Lester Sturgell, Mary Sturgell (Hubcap Preece). Grandkids; Maggie (Shawn) Nelson, Barry Joe (Kim) Richardson, John Paul Brewer, Crystal Richardson, Megan and Braden Sturgell, Kaleb Sturgell, Kaden Preece. Great Grandkids; Rashon, Leah, Samara Nelson, Alyssa Brewer, Taylor Richardson. Brothers; Thurston and Orville Sturgell. Sisters; Peggy Whitt, Mag Fitchpatrick and Causby Baisden. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 12:00 pm at the Neely Branch United Baptist Church with Russel Ball and Russell Messer. Burial will follow in the Sturgell Cemetery on Laurel Creek, Marrowbone, WV. Visitation after 4;00 pm on Wednesday at the Church. Arrangements are by the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.

EMMITT PAULEY JR., 79 of Wayne, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2006 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Born June 8, 1927 in Wayne County, a son of the late Emmit Pauley Sr. and Frankie Hale Pauley, he was one of twelve children. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Dennis Pauley and John Pauley and two sisters, Ramona Pauley and Laura Frances Pauley. Emmit was a member of the Laurel Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeneda Pauley; two sons, leonard Pauley and Dennis Pauley, all of Wayne; two grandchildren, Keith Pauley and Renee Pauley; three great-grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters: Mary McCoy, Elpha Pauley, Burnice Pauley Thompson, Ivan Pauley, Floyd Pauley, Dottie Pauley, and Barbara Pauley Muncy. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Thursday, December 7 at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home with Rev. Luther Dingess, Elder N. P. Adkins and Pastor Jerry Casteel officiating. JAKE ADKINS, 82, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2006, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, W.Va., by Elder Leo Maynard and Brother Bruce Finley. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 93 of Kenova. He was born May 24, 1924, in Logan County, W.Va., a son of the late Boyd N. and Bessie Clark Adkins. He was a retired bus driver for Wayne County Schools and served during World War II with the Army Air Corps. 401st Bomber Unit. A son, Jimmy David Adkins; two brothers, Norman B. Adkins and Jack E. Adkins; and a sister-in-law, Greta Adkins, also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Hollena Baker Adkins; two daughters, Joan Bailey and husband, Bill B. Bailey II of Ceredo, W.Va., and Dena Smith and husband Albert C. Smith II of Pleasant Garden, N.C.; two sisters, Stella Maynard and husband, Burgess, and Jean Maynard and husband, Clevis, all of Proctorville, Ohio; two brothers, Newman Adkins and wife, Lucille of Wheelersburg, Ohio and Bill Adkins and wife, Betty of Hurricane, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Bill B. PEARL "BUSTER" CHRISTIAN, 81, of Prichard, W.Va., died Thursday, December 7, 2006, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2006, at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova with the Rev. Herbert Varney, the Rev. Manfred Langer and Dr. Stan Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Cyrus Cemetery in Prichard where Buster was the dedicated caretaker. He was born December 13, 1924, in Lockwood, Ky., to the late Charles and Carrie Wilson Christian. Buster retired from Houdaille Industries after many years of service and most recently worked for M & M Mailing. He was a member of Cyrus Baptist Church where he served as the Sunday school superintendent. He was clerk and treasurer of the Twelvepole Baptist Association. Buster was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during World War II. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and is survived by his beloved wife, Erma Lee Chadwick Christian; one daughter, Deborah Carol Drake of Bethlehem, Pa.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Samuel and Virgie Ann Christian of Prichard and Pearl Edward and Sue Ellen Christian of Cincinnati, Ohio; two granddaughters, Melissa Reed and her husband, Donovan of Scott Depot, W.Va., and Amy Renee Branson and her husband, Rich of Gallatin, Tenn.; two grandsons, Mark Edward Christian and his fiancee, Tabitha Adkins and her daughter Lakin Adkins of Prichard and Gregory Edward Christian and his wife, Amy Rebecca Christian of Cincinnati, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Dutey, Christian Reed, Alyson Reed, Haley Faith Christian, Olivia Christian, Weston Christian and Kayla Christian; three sisters, Dorothy Davis, Jean Hensley and her husband, Jimmy and Barbara Christian; one sister-in-law, Wilma Chadwick Akers and her husband, John. "GEORGE" JUNIOR W. TERRY, 81, was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord when he passed away Friday, December 8, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. He was born October 10, 1925, and was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired truck driver and gas well driller for Dorothy Myers Drilling Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eva "Hatfield" Terry. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Pauline "Snodgrass" Terry; one son, George Terry III; two daughters, Kathy Gibson and Claudia Pemberton; one brother, Winfield; and four sisters, Lois, Linda, Naomi and Vina. Junior was loved by many, but none more than his granddaughters, Pauletta Dean and Amy Cazad, and his great-grandchildren, Sasha Dean, Matthew Hicks, Kenny and Rickey Lovejoy. Junior was a father, a grandfather, a brother or a friend to anybody who needed one. He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered and always with a smile. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2006, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, W.Va., with the Rev. Roger Roberts and the Rev. Mark Terry officiating. Interment will be at Bowen Cemetery, Beech Fork, W.Va., with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post #111, Hamlin, W.Va.

NAOMI RUTH AKERS PERDUE, 84, of Newport, NC, formerly of Wayne, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, December 9, 2006. Mrs. Perdue was a loving mother and grandmother and a former member of Florence Memorial United Methodist Church. Local services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday December 23, 2006 at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Vernon Cemetery. She is survived by daughters, Bonnie Bellomy of Newport, NC, and Rosalie Lockhard and husband Norman of Wayne, a son Charlie Perdue, Jr. and wife Linda of Ashville, NC, 12 grandchildren and their spouses, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Perdue, Sr., four sisters and two brothers. The family will receive visitors 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

HANEY F. ROMANS, 83, of Proctorville, Ohio, formerly of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, by the Rev. Mark McCalla. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne. She was born September 5, 1923, in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Hawthorne and Mary Ross Fraley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Red" Romans; brothers Kalor and C. M. Fraley; and step-daughters Sylvia Baisden, Patricia Flatt and Janie Romans. Survivors include her devoted aunt who resided with her, Hanie Hutton formerly of East Lynn, W.Va.; daughters Peggy J. Sturgill and husband, William, Alice R. Hess and husband, Gregory, and Jan E. Wright and husband, Ed; grandchildren Charles Adkins, Toni Hiller and Matthew E. Wright; a great-grandson, Ben Adkins; sisters Helen S. Zimmer of Proctorville, Ohio, Hester Duncan and husband, Larry of Las Vegas, Nev., Kitty Thompson of Garland, Texas, and JoAnn Johnson and husband, David of Barboursville, W.Va.; a brother, Hawthorne "Ted" Fraley Jr. of Colorado Springs, Col.; sisters-in-law, Celeste Fraley and Myrtle Fraley of Huntington, W.Va.; and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. PEGGY ANN STURGILL, 67, of Louisa, KY passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006, in Huntington, WV at the VA Medical Center. She was born July 30, 1939 at Louisa, KY, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Virginia Nolan Edwards. Mrs. Sturgill was a retired EMT and Nurse, she was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the American Legion Post 89, St., Judes Catholic Church and the DAV. Funeral services were 11:00 am, Tuesday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa, visitation was 6-9 on Monday at Young Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donate to the America Legion Post 89 of Louisa, KY.

JOHN NORMAN PRESTON, 72, of Mogadore, Ohio, passed away December 10, 2006 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Young Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Tim Preston. Burial will follow at the Preston Cemetery in Mill Creek, West Virginia. John was born November 11, 1934 in Fort Gay. He was an equipment operator for the Ford Motor Company and a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by four daughters; Pam Thompson of Georgia, Janet Forgea of Florida, Karen Moore of Kentucky and Lisa Bowen of Ohio; one son, John Preston of Kentucky; three sisters: Wilma Wetherall of West Virginia and Jean Perry of Fort Gay, and Louise Perry of Colorado: 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation is be Thursday, December 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Young funeral Home Chapel.

She was born April 13, 1932 at Kiahsville, WV, a daughter of the late Boyd and Letha Adkins Finley. She was a former baker at Bryant’s Gateway.Her husband, Herclio Santos, a son, Charles Lowe, and a brother, Leo Finley, also preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Daniel Santos and wife, RoseMarie of Newberry Park, CA, and Hal Santos and wife, Pamela of Fairview Heights, IL; a sister, Gladys Valentine of Wayne; a brother, Boyd Freeman Finley of Wayne; and four grandchildren, Jaime Anna Santos, Daniel Joseph Santos, Stephen Charles Santos and Michael Thomas Santos. *****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

KATHRYN HELEN KIDD, 55, of Wayne, W.Va., died Sunday, December 10, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Carico officiating. Burial will follow at the Adkins Cemetery at Miller's Fork, Wayne. She was born November 9, 1951, in Altoona, Penn., a daughter of the late Clarence H. and Jeanne G. Pratt. Kathy was a graduate of Barboursville High School and Huntington Junior College and was an associate of the Wayne Wal-Mart. Survivors include her husband, Bridges L. Kidd, three sons, Daniel A. Kidd and wife, Nyda of Morristown, Tenn., Brandon S. Kidd and Brock A. Kidd of Wayne; two granddaughters, Aerial Kathleen Kidd and Madilyn Grace Kidd; two sisters, Lynne C. McKenzie and husband, Gary of Huntington and Karen P. McDonie and husband, Joseph K. of Milton, W.Va.; her step-mother, Muriel McGinnis Pratt of Huntington; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maxine and Bridges C. MARY KATHERINE LAMMERS, 85, of Maryville, Tenn., passed away on December 10, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville. She was born on October 7, 1921, in Louisa, Ky., and was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth M. Lammers; her mother, Laura Hanners Vaughan; father, John Anderson Vaughan; sisters, Mildred McGimpsy, Maude Hardwick, June Carter; and brother, John Thomas Vaughan. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Lammers Fink and husband Rick Fink of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.; grandchildren Erin, age 18, Peter, age 16; sisters, Virginia Towson Booth, Maxine Morgan, Easter Wellman; and brother, Wayne Vaughan. Mary graduated from Louisa High School and St. Mary's School of Nursing in Huntington, W.Va., and practiced nursing for many years. She attended the Presbyterian churches of Huntington, W.Va.; Clarendon Hills, Ill.; Zionsville, Ind.; and Maryville, Tenn. She will always be remembered for her cleaver sense of humor, joyful interest in fashion and sparkling personality. She made everyone feel important. We will miss her dearly. SALLY ANN WALLACE MERRITT, formerly of Wayne and a 1952 graduate of Wayne High School, passed peacefully Monday, December 11, 2006. Sally was the warm and gracious receptionist for MWM Corporation, Phoenix, for the past ten years. Previously, she was office manager of Prudential Insurance, Phoenix, for more than twenty years and was active in the Scottsdale chapter of Sweet Adelines. Sally is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Lonnie Merritt, a daughter Joy (John) Bridgeford, son Lonnie Dale Merritt (Karen) and six grandchildren; Carrie Merchant, Dawn Cooper, Craig Pemberton, Alicia Merritt, Alec Merritt and Jonathan Merritt. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Travis and Trevor Merchant, Garrett, Hoeszle and Rebecca and Michael "Mac" Cooper. She is also survived by brothers Lewis Earl Wallace of Glendale, Tom Wallace (Sharon) of Tolleson and Terry Eugene Wallace of Prescott. RITA FAY MARCUM, age 5l, passed away Monday, December 11, 2006 at home. She worked at Walmart Great Southern until she became ill. She was a member of Ole Time Free Will Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents John W. and Dolly Bailey. Survived by husband, Robert Lee Marcum; children, Rita M. Messer, Shawna L. Messer, Larry Edsel Gray Messer, Dolly Jean Marcum, Bobbie Jo (John) Kohler, Mary Magdalene (Richard) Persinger; 22 grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Laura Hayslip, Dallas (Lee) Bailey, Violet S. KARI MAE LEWIS, of Wayne, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at home. At only 24 years old, she is gone before her time, but now with the Lord. Born February 22, 1982 in Logan, Ohio, Kari was a class of 2000 graduate of Wayne High School, and attended Canada Chapel. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lawrence W. McClelland, and grandmother, Olive Mae Roland Lewis, great grandmothers, Eva McClelland, Mary Brayall, and Mawmaw Trogdon, one uncle, James Hyrne, and her fiance’s father, Carson Puskas. Survivors include her parents, Richard Martin Lewis, Jr,; Kay Ann McClelland and Gregory Trogdon; one sister and bother-in-law, Lisa and Jerry Smith; one stepsister, Anndrea and Jim Meadows, all of Wayne; one stepbrother, Gregory Trogdon Jr. of Concord, North Carolina; grandfather, Richard Martin Lewis Sr. of South Shore, KY; grandmother, Kay Bruce and husband Roger of Buchtell, Ohio; step grandparents, Lois and Jack Trogdon of Lavalette; special friends Kathy and Katy Mohney; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous too mention. ELLIS GEORGE RICHARDSON, 84, of Kenova, W.Va., (formerly of East Lynn and Lavalette, W.Va.) has gone home to be with his family and friends, but most importantly, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ellis slipped peacefully into his eternal home surrounded by his family at the Hospice House of Huntington, W.Va., on December 12, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Michael Dillon at 2 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2006, at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, W.Va. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne. Ellis retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways and spent nearly 20 years coal mining. He was born October 24,1922, in Wayne County, West Virginia, to the late Ardist and Fannie Fry Richardson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Lorraine Spence Richardson, a son, Russell Richardson and one brother, Algie Richardson. Survivors include his children, Michael and Margaret Maynard of Wayne, Georgette and Verlin J. Adkins Jr. of Lavalette and Crystal and Terry Adkins of Huntington. Ellis also leaves four grandchildren, Selena Michelle Draper of Martinsburg, W.Va., Patrina Gail Adkins of Lavalette, Anthony Russ Maynard of Wayne and Nathan Ellis Adkins of Huntington. Ellis was also blessed with four great-grandchildren, Makenzie Verlin Adkins, Jacob John Draper, Michael Anthony Draper and Abigail Rose Draper, all of Martinsburg, W.Va. Ellis also has two surviving sisters, Gladys Adkins of Wayne and Spicie Adkins of Lavalette; and a host of family and friends. In addition to his family and friends, Ellis was very blessed to have people who not only cared for his well being, but also loved him dearly. The family would like to thank the owners o f Sweet Run Elder Care, Scott and Regina Arbogast and all their employees, past and present; thank you all for his care, but most of all thank you for loving him. Also, thanks to Dr. Dwayne Tackett, you have seen him through so much and we appreciate your care and compassion. Thanks to Hospice of Huntington and Hospice House of Huntington for your support during his latter days. Thanks to all who came into our home to care for him and love him. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Kenny Chatterton; one sister, Marcella Chatterton Gleich; one son, Ken Ward; his first wife, Mary Catherine Chatterton; and nephew, Ricky Gleich. He was employed by American Container, a division of Gould National Battery, until he proudly changed his line of work to become co-owner of Brumfield Brothers Used Cars in Huntington. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a proud Navy veteran of World War II, where he was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Queens. He was a faithful Christian and worshiped with the Church of Christ at 18th Street and Madison Avenue. Most importantly, Pearley was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Pauley of Huntington, W.Va.; and Rita Kay Hereford and John Hereford, her husband, of Whitney, Texas; two brothers, Glen S. Marcum and Joyce Marcum, his wife, of Huntington; and Bruce Marcum and Cindy Marcum, his wife, of Huntington; a brother-in-law, Kie Lawrence of South Point, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Carol Marcum of Huntington; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Marcum was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Meade Marcum; a sister, Evelyn Lawrence; a brother, Olen David Marcum; and a brother-in-law, Ernest Meade. He grew up in Crum, W.Va., and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served during World War II in the South Pacific Campaign. He was also a member of the Howard P. THE REV. WILLIAM R. "BILL" HAYTON, 77, of Kenova, W.Va., husband of Elizabeth "Libby" Christian Hayton and son of the late King J. and Ella Thompson Hayton, died December 24, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington. Rev. Hayton was born June 15, 1929, and was a lifetime resident of Kenova. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, daughter Pamela (Jerry) Workman of Prestonburg, Ky., and a son, Richard (Tracy) Hayton of Huntington; three grandchildren, Chris Workman, Sarah Hayton and Sean Hayton; two sisters, Carol Sue (Berlin) Meredith of Kenova and Mary Jo (Sherman) Arrowood of Lavalette; two brothers, Chester (Barbara) Hayton of Houston, Texas and Charles (Della) Hayton of Catlettsburg, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. In iddition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Joseph Hayton. Bill was a graduate of the 1947 class of C-K High School. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army's 432nd Engineering Battalion from 1951until 1953. Although Rev. Hayton has served and pastored a number of churches in the surrounding area, his longest tenure of 22-1/2 years was at Oakview Missionary Baptist Church in Kenova. He retired as a letter carrier from the U.S. Postal Service in 1989. Bill was currently a member of the Twelve Pole Valley Baptist Association, where he had previously held the office of moderator for 12 years. He was a member of the Big Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #93 Kenova, whose members will conduct graveside's rites. Bill was a loving husband, father, papaw, brother and friend. Being a proud and patriotic man, he prayed daily for his family, for his nation and for those serving our country. He was employed with the Coca-cola plant in Louisa. He was a Christian and a member of the Cherryville Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, by Pastor Bill Boblett. Burial will follow at the Sam Damron Cemetery, Dunlow, WV. He was born February 15, 1936 at Dunlow, a son of the late Verdic and Georgia Napier Lovins. A sister, Myrtle Sword, and two brothers, Leonard and Thornton Lovins, also preceded him in death. Ray was a retired construction worker (crane operator) for Neighborgall Construction Co. of Huntington and was a member of the International Union Operators Engineering Local #132. He also worked for Washington Roofing Sheet and Metal. He was a member and caretaker of the Wayne County Zip Little Chapter, Isaac Walton League. He loved fishing, hunting, and being with his family and friends. Ray received Jesus in his heart on December 9, 2006 and was baptized the next day at Locust Grove Baptist Church where he was given honorary membership. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Jo Stamper Lovins, whom he married August 5, 1956; 3 daughters, Cindy Lyvonne Staley and husband, John, Tammy Jo Wolfe, and Lisa Sue Lovins; two sons, Danny Ray and Gregory Neal Lovins and wife, Katherine Ann; a godchild, Susan Garrettson; his grandchildren, Jamie Paul Wolfe, Jennifer Lyvonne Blankenship and husband, Mark, Tiffani Nicole Lovins, Jason Wade Lovins and wife, Jana, William Jeremy Ray Wolfe and wife, Ashley, Christopher Michael Ball, Danny Ray Lovins, II, Ashlee Danielle Lovins, Joseph Tanner Lovins; a great-grandson, Landyn Ray Lovins; seven sisters, Opal Meade, Jenny Mae Vanover, Marie Heaberlin, Leona Little, Otta Lee Kelly, Frances Roark, Georgia Meade; and a brother, Luther Lovins. Ray Boy was known and loved by all who knew him every day of his life and now we can rejoice knowing that he will be walking through the pearly gates. He was Co-owner of Young Funeral Home Inc., in Louisa, a KY Colonel, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Louisa. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Lynn Franz See of Louisa, KY, one son James Matthew (Ashley) See of Louisa and his parents Amos and Betty Jo See of Louisa, KY. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home Chapel, burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Louisa. (Date not given) THE REV. JAMES "JIMMY" HENSLEY, 74, of Buffalo Creek Road, Huntington, W.Va., is now breathing without medical assistance, heavenly air. Jimmy was known for his gospel tract ministry, to which he dedicated his life. He spent unknown hours writing, printing, cutting, folding, and passing out tracts to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere he went. He also had a jail ministry for 28 years and saw people saved every week. Jimmy served faithfully as Pastor of four local churches. He was a member of Buffalo Valley Baptist Church, where he served as Minister of Visitation and Men's Sunday school teacher. Jimmy was instrumental in helping numerous churches by being a prayer warrior and encourager of many local pastors. He was a veteran of the Berlin Crisis in 1961 and a member of the National Guard for 13 years. Jimmy retired from O. B. Systems and Mining after 36 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Violet Hensley; brothers: David, Gordon, and an infant brother, Garland Jr., and one sister: Joyce Noel. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Norma Jean Christian Hensley, who stood by him faithfully during his illness. Three sons: Larry (Debbie Vargo) of Findley, Ohio; Michael (Pam) Hensley of Huntington, W.Va.; and Richard (Sharon) of Falling Waters, W.Va., and one daughter, Jeana Renee (Greg) Graves of Kenova, W.Va. He was the proud Papaw of five grandsons, Bradley Hensley (Whitney Shaw, fiancé) of Jacksonville, Fla.; Matthew Hensley of Huntington, W.Va. and Steven ( Abby Baker, girlfriend), James and Christopher Graves of Kenova, W.Va.; who will serve as pallbearers along with Gary Smith, close friend and neighbor. Also surviving are one brother, Norman (Myrtle) Hensley of Kenova, W.Va.; one sister, Madeline Evicks of Chesapeake, Ohio, and five sisters-in-law; Mary and Diana Hensley, Barbara and Erma Lee Christian and Dorothy Davis as well as several nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastors Berman Willis and Leo Gibson and grandson Steven Graves. Burial will follow at the Hensley Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
