RUSSELL LEE FAULKNER, JR., 88, formerly of Huntington, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday January 1, 2014 in Charlotte Hall, Md. He was the son of the late Russell Lee Faulkner Sr. and Leona Mills of Huntington. He was preceded in death by wife Mary Akers Faulkner. Surviving are his two children Susan Faulkner St.Clair and husband, Roy; Betsy Faulkner Dyson and husband, Trevor; two grandchildren Jason Edward St.Clair and wife, Margaret; and Michael Faulkner Dyson. Two Great-Grandchildren Peyton and Connor St.Clair. Surviving wife Willetta E. Faulkner and two step-children Susan Storf Cossa and husband, Gian; and David Harold Storf. A 1943 graduate of H.E.H.S., Russell served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Leon in the Pacific Theater during WWII and awarded seven battle stars. Retiring after 30 yrs. with the ACF in Huntington, he joined CSX in Baltimore MD for 17 years and was an avid golfer. JOSEPH RUSSELL "JOE" PORTER, 87, of Ceredo, W.Va., died Thursday, January 2, 2014, at his home. Joe was born May 9, 1926 in Kenova, WV a son of the late Lionel and Betty Barbee Porter. He retired from American Commercial Barge Lines where he had been an Inspector. Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kenova. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post #93 Kenova, whose Honor Guard will conduct graveside military rites. Joe was also a member of VFW #1064 Huntington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Alice Porter; one brother, Harold "Pedo" Porter and two sisters, Mary Margaret Davis and Hilda McSwain. He is survived by his beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Bill Banks of Fairfield Township, Ohio, Lisa and Steve Diamond and Joella and Chuck Hanlon, all of Ceredo, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Matthew and Danielle Banks, Amy and Paul Luck, Steven and Rebecca Diamond, Ryan and Angie Diamond, Joseph and Daragh Hanlon, and Jaime Hanlon; great-grandchildren Cody, Nicole, Marissa, Logan, Brady, Hayley, Cole, Quinn and soon to be born Baby Hanlon. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Cabell Huntington Home Health, especially Rhonda, Mary Jane, Taylor and Virginia for their care of Joe. Also special thanks to neighbors Ron and Carolyn Nicholson and Jim and Pat Billups. BOBBY LEE MARCUM, 58, of Fort Gay, W.Va., passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. He was born September 17, 1955 in Louisa, Ky. a son of Joan Branham Marcum and the late Grover Cleveland Marcum. He was a retired machinist for N&S Railroad and he was a U.S. Navy Veteran Survivors include daughter, Shawna Lee Marcum of Fallsburg, Ky.; two sisters, Patty K. Dove of Fort Gay, W.Va.; Flara Pack of Fort Gay.; two brothers, Grover C. Marcum Jr. of Radnor, W.Va.; James D. Marcum of Fort Gay; two Grandchildren, Piper Nevada Waugh and Leeland David Stone Waugh. Funeral services were conducted 1 PM Monday, January 6, 2014 at Fallsburg Tabernacle Church with Tommy Kitts officiating. Burial followed at the Marcum Family Cemetery, Fort Gay.

CLARENCE SAMUEL FISCHER, 82, of Wayne, W.Va., died January 2, 2014. He was born August 2, 1931, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late George C. and Rose Wolf Fischer. Sam had worked as a self-employed barber for 50 years. He was a member of the Centerville Missionary Baptist Church. Sam was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post #93 Kenova, whose Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dolf and Lisa Fischer of Grayson, Ky., and Chris and Melissa Fischer of Dothan, Ala.; four grandchildren, Travis, Joseph, Ryan and Mikayla and one sister, Joanne Lemley of Huntington, W.Va. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova, W.Va. ROGER LEE BOWEN, 42, of Louisa, Ky. passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Ky. He was born April 21, 1971 in Louisa, Ky., a son of Roy Lee and Mary Murphy Bowen. He was a member of Smith Chapel Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lynn Bowen. Survivors include his parents, Roy Lee and Mary Bowen of Louisa, Ky.; his loving wife, Martha Ellen Bowen of Louisa, Ky.; children, Shane Cobal of Michigan; Roger Lee Bowen II of Michigan; William Cody Bowen of Louisa, Ky.; Allyssa Lena Bowen also of of Louisa, Ky.; 4 Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Kenny Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at the Frasher Cemetery, Fort Gay, W.V.. SHIRLENE PRINCE, 47, of Denton, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at her home. She was born May 17, 1966 in Louisa, Ky. a daughter of the late Harmie and Norma Hughes Presley. She was a housewife. Survivors include, her loving husband, Sam Prince of Denton, Kentucky; daughter, Samantha Artrip of Denton, Kentucky; son, Anthony Prince also of Denton, Kentucky; one Grandchild, Baile Artrip; brothers, Dale Presley of Louisa, Ky.; Johnny Presley of St. Albans, W.V.; Elvis Presley of Fort Gay, W.V.; sisters, Debbie Endicott of Fort Gay, W.V.; Darlene Patrick of Fallsburg, Ky.; Willie Shilling of St. Albans, W.V.. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Presley Cemetery, Fort Gay, W.V.. DELMER PRESTON VANNATTER, SR., 61, of Lancaster, Oh., formerly of Prichard, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 2, 2014. He was born December 23, 1952 in Breeden, W.Va., a son of the late Keeling and Mahala Marcum Vannatter. One sister, Belva Jean Vannatter also preceded him in death along with two brothers, Delmas Vannatter and James Vannatter; one daughter Tammy Marie Vannatter: and one grandson, Anthony Dillon Vannatter. He worked as an auto painter and attended the House of Worship. He leaves behind his wife Lana Jean Vannatter of Lancaster; one son, Delmer Preston Vannatter Jr. and his wife Linda of Marengo, Oh.; and four grandchildren, Amanda M. Adkins and her fiancé Stephen Schengeli, Kalynn S. Vannatter, all of Lancaster, Tyler Preston Vannatter and Aaron Jacob Vannatter, both of Marengo. Also surviving are five brothers, Bud Vannatter and his wife Joni of Dunlow, W.Va., Joe Vannatter and his wife Lavonda of Genoa, Dave Vannatter and his wife Vicky of Kuttawa, Ky., John Vannatter and his wife Nina of Dunlow, W.Va., and Roland Vannatter and his wife Pauletta of Genoa; seven sisters, Beth Ferguson and her husband Larry of Palm Coast, Fla., Cozy Straw of Laurelville, Oh., Merl Moore and her husband Dave of Dunlow, W.Va., Ruby Jackson of Wayne, W.Va., Delanie Maynard and her husband Lee of Louisa, Ky., Shirley Moore and her husband John of Wayne, and Mary Ann Vannatter of Laurelville; and nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, January 5, 2013 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home by Brother Scott Marshall, Brother Arbie Rice, and Brother Dave Vannatter. Burial will follow in the Vannatter Cemetery, Dunlow. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

JOHNIE SPAULDING, 86, of Jennies Creek, WV passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at his home. He was born on April 5, 1927 in Wayne Co., WV; he was a son of the late Flem and Lydia Lowe Spaulding. He was preceded in death siblings, Kessler, Jennetta, Arizona, Angie, Dixie, and Virgie. He was a retired employee of Simmons Mattress Company. He is survived by his sister, Polly Ann Spaulding of Jennies Creek, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Perry Point Church with Ken & Jess Allen officiating. Burial followed in the Perry Point Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.

BERTHA MAE DUFF, 89, of Kenova, W.Va., went to be with her heavenly Father on January 5, 2014. Bertha was born on September 30, 1924, in Ceredo, W.Va., daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Thompson Staten. She worked many years at Wender's Dress Shop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earl Duff, a brother Melvin Staten and a sister Eloise Staten. She is survived by her son James Michael Jordan and wife Carol; one grandson, Ron Jordan and wife Shirley; one sister, Patricia Ann Staten; one brother, Charles Edward Staten and wife Juanita; a sister-in-law Nancy Staten, as well as many nephews, nieces and their families. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation, St. Mary's Medical Center and Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for all their support and kindness. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Ceredo Christian Baptist Church. CARL H. BLEVINS, 79, Huntington, W.Va., passed on Sunday, January 5, 2014. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 9, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reger Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 10, 2014, at 1 p.m. by Rev. Jamie Gump at the Reger Funeral Chapel, followed by graveside services to include Masonic rites by Crescent Lodge #32 AF&AM of Ceredo and military rites by American Legion Post 93 of Kenova. Carl was born on January 7, 1934. He was the son of the late Emmet Wells Blevins, Lillian Raines-Blevins McComas and stepfather Clifford H. McComas. He was preceded in death by one son, Bradly H. Blevins, and a sister, Delores McComas Connally. He is survived by his wife, Donna Edmonds Blevins; son, Mark (Rose) of Suffolk, Va.; son, Joe of Huntington; grandchildren, Melissa (CA), Alexandra (VA), Michael (VA) and Kara Ann (IL); and the mother of his children, Patricia Damron Blevins of Huntington. He is also survived by brothers Tommy and Charles McComas of Huntington. Carl cherished the time spent with all his nieces and nephews and would travel to Arizona to see them often. He was an Army veteran and served his country in Korea. His civilian career spanned across the Huntington Police Department (Lieutenant 20 years) and Huntington Veterans Affairs Medical Center (18 years) where he served as the AFGE union President for 16 years. He led efforts to mentor local youth through coaching Little League and Babe Ruth baseball teams. He had a passion for the sport of boxing and supported local Golden Gloves activities. He loved boating and entertaining friends along the Ohio River many summers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Masonic Scholarship Endowment Trust of WV, P.O. DENNIS EDWARD WARD, 86, of Ceredo WV passed away on January 6, 2014. He was born on November 9, 1927 in Wayne County, WV; the son of the late Leander Ward and Sarah Francis Thacker Ward. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Ollie Ward, Emery Ward, Verla B. Frazier, Lorain Sutfin, Nolda Ward, Alvin Ward, Mary Alice Ward, Lois Ward, and Franklin Ray Ward. Dennis is survived by his nieces and nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews. He lived in the Ceredo Manor and will be missed by all who knew him. JUDY ANNE ARTIS, 68, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Monday, January 6, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. She was born July 14, 1945, in Huntington, W.Va. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Chester R. Artis; two sons, Benny R. (Aubrey) Artis and Bill (Sheila) Artis; one special grandson, Joshua; one special granddaughter, Madison Brooke; and two special great-nieces, Emma and Maya. There will be a celebration of life service 2 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Good Samaritan Church, 1610 Florence Avenue, Huntington. EDSEL RUSSELL, 65, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away January 6, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born to the late John and Ethel Russell, in Huntington, West Virginia, on March 18th, 1948. He was born the youngest of ten children and grew up and attended school in East Lynn, West Virginia. In 1968 he was drafted into the United States Army to serve his country in the Vietnam War. He completed his tour of duty in the First Cavalry Division having received a Purple Heart for being wounded on the battlefield. Upon being honorably discharged, he moved to Michigan where he met and married his beloved wife Regina on May 12th, 1975. He is survived by five children: Shannon Cowan, of Waterford, Michigan; Matthew Russell, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Rachel Spence, of Belleville, Michigan; Tabitha Bailey, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and Andrea Pilchak, of Taylor, Michigan. He will ever be adored as “Paw Paw” to his 13 grandchildren. Even though his 15 month battle with a brain tumor claimed his life, it could not take his spirit or his love for God. He never complained about his lot and could often be heard singing a hymn or commenting on how good God has been to him, even near the end. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, January 13th at Nie Family Funeral Home in Ann Arbor, Michigan (3767 W. Liberty Rd). A memorial service will be held immediately after, starting at 7 p.m. Final remains will be scattered at a Veterans Memorial Service at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at a later date.

ANDREA DELBERTA STEPHENSON QUEEN, 41, of Interlachen, Florida, formerly of Wayne passed away January 6, 2014 in Interlachen, florida where she made her home. She was born July 27, 1972. She is preceded in death by her father Russell Dilbert Stephenson. She is survived by her mother Darlene Stephenson of Wayne, husband Eric Queen and daughter Erykah Jordan Queen of Interlachen; three sisters, Angela Stephenson Thompson and husband Wade Thompson of Corbin, Ky., Alice Stemenson of Wayne and Amber Stephenson of Wayne; one nephew, Luke Thompson; one niece, Desiree Stephenson and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and special friend Debbie Osburn of Wayne. A memorial service took place at Canada Chapel Church in Wayne Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. Burial was at the Stephenson Cemetery. Andrea will be missed very much by everyone.

WILLIAM LEE RIFFE, 73, of Fort Gay, W.V. passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. He was born November 29, 1940 in Logan County, W.V. a son of the late Leonord and Cordillia Lawson Riffe. He was a retired Coal Miner and worked for North America Coal Company for 17 years, and a member of the UMWA and he was a member of the Jesus Name Tabernacle Church in Kermit, W.V. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Riffe. Survivors include, two daughters, Christina “Brandon” Williams of Fort Gay, W.V.; Lisa “Johnny” Ousley of Orlando, Florida; three sons, Larry “Amy” Fiffe of Louisa, Ky,; Darrell Nathaniel Riffe of Pikeville, Ky.; William Lee “Terri” Riffe Jr. of East Lynn, W.V.; one brother, Lucian Riffe of Dunlow, W.V.; four sisters, Nettie Ratcliff of Kermit, W.V.; Catherine Riffe of Steptown, W.V.; Cora Belle Finley also of Steptown, W.V.; Merkie Riffe of Pigeon Forge, TN; Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 1:00 PM Friday,

BRITTANY RAE HOLMES-ADKINS, 27, of Wayne, WV, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, January 13, 2014 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Roger Perry. She was born April 21, 1986 in Lincoln Park, MI, a daughter of Lori Ann Stephens Holmes and the late Raymond Glenn Holmes. Brittany was a massage therapist. Also preceding her in death were her grandparents, Norman L. Stephens, Thurman Otis Holmes and Doris Lolette Holmes and Uncle Virgil L. Sharp. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband and best friend Christopher Lee Adkins; a son, Christian Ray Adkins; a brother, Jeremy David Holmes; mother- in-law Christi Tabor and husband Dave, father-in-law Randy Adkins, maternal grandmother Shirley Ann Stephens, a special cousin and friend, Charles Robert Adkins, II; a very special little girl, who was very dear to her heart Angelina Dawn Rene Adkins, and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. Through her short life Brittany had many friends and a lot of family for whom she loved very much. Those who knew her loved her tender heart and bright spirit. DORIS COLE PRIDDY, 89, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014. She was born November 3, 1924, in Wayne County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ezra an Edith Ann Williams Cole. Doris had been employed by Corbin Ltd. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Huntington, W.Va. She was a member of American Legion Post #93 Kenova Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband W.W. Priddy; three sisters, Annagene Simpkins, Arlene Akers and Maxine Beach and brothers Ezra Cole Jr., and Harold Lee Cole. She is survived by one sister, Betty Adkins of Ceredo, W.Va.; three nieces and three nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2014, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova. MILDRED I. THOMPSON, 78, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away January 10, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. She was born January 22, 1935, in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Ross and Erma Carter McSweeney. She is also preceded in death by her husband Earl J. Thompson. She is survived by her son Ray Adkins; step-son James "Jimmy" Thompson; one brother, Pearly McSweeney; three granddaughters and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.

JULIA EVELYN FINLEY EVANS, 76, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Wayne, WV, went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2014 at Ohio State University Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Morris funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Brother Dolphus Perry officiating. She was born on April 19, 1937 in Huntington, WV, to the late Eldridge Finley and Hessie Nelson finley. Julia was a telephone operator for 35 years for AT&T, a member of Union #CWA (Communication Workers of America) 4320 and was also a member of the Lunch bunch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Robert Evans. Survived by her daughters Rosemarie Rogers of Columbus, Ohio and Elisha Little (Dr. Mark) of Minnesota, son David Paul Evans of Columbus, Ohio, sister Janice Carol Finley Aselin of Bexley, Ohio, and two grandchildren, Collin Little and Katherine Rose Johnson.

EDITH ADKINS QUEEN of Interlachen, Florida, formerly of Wayne, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 12, 2014 surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was born in Wayne County, West Virginia and had been a resident of Interlachen for the past 44 years coming from Wayne County, WV. She was a 1956 graduate of the Wayne High School. She enjoyed singing and sang for many years with the family quartet, The Mellowtones. She attended the Oak ridge Baptist Church in Interlachen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doliver and Arvilla Adkins; two brothers, Dallas Adkins and Leslie Adkins; three sisters, Maxine Chadwick, Murl-Jean Lambert and Irene Chadwick. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Dallas Queen of Interlachen; one son, Dwayne Dallas Queen and his wife Cathy of Interlachen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Glenn Whittington of Interlachen and Carla and Danny Hemphill of Interlachen; one sister, Martha Wellman of Huntington, WV; eight grandchildren and spouses, Christy and Cliff Gabbard, Aaron and Melissa Whittington, Adam and Jenna Hemphill, Seth and Kelsi Hemphill, Dwayne Dallas Queen, Jr., Stephanie Queen, Chase freeman (Terri), and Chad freeman (Tatum); six great-grandchildren, Savannah Branch, Molly Gabbard, Abby Whittington, Katlyn Blackmer, Marli Hemphill, Averi Hemphill, Beckham freeman, and Micah freeman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Oak ridge Baptist Church in Interlachen with Rev. Calvin freeman officiating. JOSEPH T. SCHAFER, 86, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away Monday morning, January 13, 2014, at River's Bend Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Bill Osborn and Pastor Charles O. Adkins. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born January 4, 1928, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late George Joseph and Cora Matthews Schafer. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army having joined in 1945 and served with the First Cavalry Division. He was a foreman with Columbia Gas Transmission having retired in 1985 after 36 years of service, and was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Wayne, W.Va. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Sue Ball and two sisters and two brothers, Eva Clark, Dorothy Christian, Charles and James Schafer. Survivors include the love of his life and his wife of 58 years, Marcetis Robinson Schafer; three sons and two daughters-in-law Keith Schafer and his fiancée Laura Davenport, Kyle and Pam Schafer and Kevin and Michele Schafer; eight grandchildren, Kim Fortner, Andy, Erin, Adam, Chris, Corey, Cole and Anna Schafer; two great-grandchildren, Isaac Fortner and Jocelyn Schafer; son-in-law Shirley Ball and daughter-in-law Teresa Schafer. JOHN RANDALL "RANDY" HATTON, 57, of Ceredo, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 13, 2014. WILLIAM "ROGER" YOUNG, 60 of Ona, W.Va., passed away January 14, 2014, with his wife by his side. ALLEN DALE PERRY, 63, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his residence. The Huntington, WV native was born January 17, 1951 the son of the late Edgar and Ruth Norris Perry. Dale is survived by his wife Jodie Pearson Perry whom he married June 18, 1972. Dale was a 1969 graduate of Buffalo-Wayne High School and worked maintenance at Lawrence Federal Bank. He was born July 7, 1934, in Rittman, Ohio, a son of the late John E. and Ella Trent Boyes. Kenny was a retired electrician for Houdaille Industries. Three sisters, Betty, Opal and Jane, and seven brothers, Emmitt, Nelson, Raymond, Ralph, Bob, Paul and Trent Boyes, also preceded him in death. DAVID EDWIN KEARNS, age 94, entered into eternal peace at his residence in Fort Gay, West Virginia, on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. His final days were spent surrounded by loved ones that Mr. Kearns had touched some way throughout his memorable life. Mr. Kearns was born August 17, 1919, in Otto, West Virginia. He retired from Young Funeral Home after 35 years of employment. He was a member of the Fort Gay Baptist Church, Fort Gay Lions Club, and also a veteran of the United States Army serving his country during World War II. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Socrates and Alta Walker Kearns; his brothers, Olin, George, Henry and June Kearns; his sister, Mary Fawns; his son, David Clayton Kearns; and his lovely wife, Susie Booth Kearns. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his brother, John Kearns of Richmond, Va.; his daughters, Debra K. (Joe) Holt of Louisa, Ky., and Denise A. LINDA L. GRAHAM, 71, of Hodgenville, Ky., formerly of Ceredo, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at her home. Linda cared deeply about her family and the Lord. She was a loved wife of 53 years, a caring mother and nurturing grandmother. She rests peacefully knowing that one day she will be with her family again. She was a member of Bethesda Ministries Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Myrtle Pyles Brown; and two brothers, Raymond Brown and Edward Brown. She is survived by her husband Douglas M. Graham; two daughters, Kimberly Gibson of Glendale, Ky., and Tracy Graham of Independence, Ky.; a sister Carole Sue and Otis Adkins of Ceredo, W.Va.; two brothers, Robert and Linda Brown of Elizabethtown and Johnny Mac Brown of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Erika Ferrell, Hope Gibson and Bethany Payton. DR. ALLEN HAYGOOD "PETE" YARBROUGH III, 73, of Huntington, passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 23, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Willie May. Burial will follow at the Artrip Kilgore Cemetery. He was born on November 24, 1940 in Huntington, the son of the late Allen Haygood Yarbrough II and Emma Margaret Swindler Yarbrough. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Rachel Yarbrough and his sister: Annabelle Halfacre. Pete was a dentist and owner of the Denture Store a graduate of Marshall University and the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 34 years. He is survived by his wife Rosella Kilgore Yarbrough, one son: Matthew Hopkins, three daughters and sons in law: Samantha Dell Ritchie and Daniel Ritchie, Beth Ann Childers, Amy Mariah Yarbrough and Amanda Ezdora Cunningham and Garrett Cunningham. Nine grandchildren: John, Jacob, and Jude Ritchie, Johnny, Sarah, Jacob, Joseph, Andrew and Dillon. Two brothers and sisters in law: Charles and Kathleen Yarbrough and Richard and Theresa Yarbrough. ANDY ROBINSON JR., 84, of Wayne, WV, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. ANGELINE "ANGIE" CLARK GILKERSON, 86, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. DONALD FRASHER, 89, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Brother John Frasher officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Donald was born November 8, 1924, in Wayne County, W.Va., a son of the late Garland and Leaffy Morrison Frasher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Hunter Frasher; his brother Rubert Frasher; and his sisters Helen F. Bash and Eula F. Whittaker. Donald is survived by his sister Thursy F. Baker; and his brothers Garland Frasher Jr., and John Paul Frasher. Donald attended a one-room elementary school and graduated from Wayne High School in May of 1942. He served in the Navy Air Force and the Merchant Marines during World War II and served in the Army during the Korean War. After his military service, he worked many years for TRW in Dayton, Ohio. Donald was a dedicated bowler and won many trophies and was one of the first Daytonians to bowl a perfect 300 game. CHARLES "Chad" "Charlie" EVANS PERDUE JR., age 66, formerly of Lavalette, West Virginia, passed away on January 28, 2014, in Cape Coral, Florida. Chad was born on February 6, 1947, in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Charles Evans Perdue Sr., and the late Naomi "Ruth" Ackers Perdue. Chad graduated from Wayne High School where he was the 1964-1965 co-captain of the Wayne Pioneers football team and was offered numerous scholarships to play college football. Chad leaves behind his loving family, daughter Elizabeth "Beth" Perdue; "grandkitty" Doogie; son Christopher "Chris" Perdue; daughter and son-in-law Amy and Wyatt Henderson; two beautiful grandchildren, Morgan Wyatt Henderson and Autumn Elizabeth Henderson; two wonderful sisters, Bonnie J. Bellomy and Rosalie "Rose" (Norman) Lockhart. He loved his many nieces and nephews. Chad lived a wonderful 66-years. During his life, he married his childhood sweetheart Ellen Vanhoose Perdue Washburn. Although they were no longer married, they have always shared a special bond. He enjoyed working at the Huntington Water Company, raising his children, attending Florence Memorial United Methodist Church, fishing and family reunions. Most recently, Chad enjoyed spending time with his children and his precious grandbabies. Chad was known by many names, but the two most important are Dad and Papaw. He had a contagious laugh and a great smile. He was a loving, wonderful family man who is missed dearly. GEORGIA BOOTON HINES, 95, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Wayne, W.Va., passed away January 30, 2014, at her home in Sarasota. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne. She was born June 29, 1918, at Stiltner, W.Va., a daughter of the late Willie and Mary Ellen Napier Ramey. Georgia was a retired supervisor with the WV Department of Health and Human Resources and was a member of the Wayne United Methodist Church and the Northminister Presbyterian Church in Sarasota. She was a member of the Palm Aire Country Club where she became an avid golfer in recent years. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and games with her children and family. She was also preceded in death by her husbands Herald "Dike" Booton and Denzil "Jake" Hines, sisters Verna and Mae, and brothers Denzil, Walker and James, and a son-in-law Chester Maynard Jr. Survivors include four children, Mary Ann Maynard and Cassa Preece (Bob), all of Wayne, W.Va., Russell Booton (Sandy) and Earl Douglas Booton (Connie), all of Lavalette, W.Va.; a step-daughter Brigiette Hines of Barboursville, W.Va.; a beloved niece Della M. Lycan of Sarasota, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren, and extended family Stephen and Jamie Carey of Wayne and Cam Tufts of Lavalette, and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends she so dearly enjoyed.
