AUNECA WORKMAN ROSS BAILEY, 82, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Heritage Center, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Pastor Fred Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Huntington, WV. She was born on September 26, 1931 to the late Okey Workman and Ona Workman Ferguson and her late step-mother Elva Workman. Auneca was a member of Beulah Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Jack Ross, who is the father of her sons, second husband Jimmie Bailey, two sons Danny Jack Ross and Douglas Keith Ross, granddaughter Kelli Evonne Ross and step-brother Donald Ray Canada. Surviving is her sister Sharon Workman Berry (James) of Wayne, W.Va.; former daughters-in-law Rexanna Ross Shumaker (Charley) of Milton, W.Va., and Tina Ross Moore (Larry) of South Point, Ohio. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Aaron Keith Ross and Adam Daniel Ross, both of South Point, Ohio. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Heritage Center in Huntington for their help and support during her time of need, and to Auneca's special cousins who were also there for her, Ernestine Rutherford, Lou Webb, Alma Thompson, Jewell Jackson, Dorothy Collins and many other cousins and friends. PERRY TAYLOR KITTS, 75, of Ceredo, WV, passed away on February 1, 2014. He was born on January 30, 1939, in Genoa, W.Va., to Sid and Hattie Watts Kitts. He was a retiree of ACF Industries in Huntington, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Launa Stiltner. He leaves behind to mourn his loss his wife of 56 years, Betty Odelene Kitts; his children Terry (Deborah) Kitts, Perry A. (Cleta) Kitts, Lisa (Gordon) Hutchinson, Janet Wheeler and her fiancé Brian and Chris (Tara) Kitts; and his six grandchildren, Brandon, PJ, Bradley and Justin Kitts, Courtney Hutchinson and Lexi Primm; his three great-grandchildren; his very special nephew Fred Parsons, and his beloved dog Chalupa. Also surviving are his brothers Elwood Kitts, Frank Kitts, CB Kitts and Jackie Kitts and his sisters Kathryn Parsons, Sue Perry, Ann Spurlock and Mary Thompson. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Hale officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. DOROTHY "DOLL" WILLIAMSON MAYNARD, 88, of Dunlow went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa, KY. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Elders Dolphus Perry & Roger Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the S.D. Copley Cemetery, Dunlow, WV. She was born on December 1, 1925 in Dunlow, to the late Frank Williamson & Lula Perry Williamson. Dorothy was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jay Bird Maynard, sisters Thelma Matthews, Drusie Maynard and Ida Belle Maynard, brothers Cohen, Frank Jr., and Denzil Williamson, grandchildren Teddy Nelson & Brian Keith Adkins. Surviving is her five daughters: Gwanna Charlene Cisco and husband Kenneth of Huntington, Ramona Ruth Adkins and husband Keith "Bootie" of Cleveland, Ohio, Patricia Cheryl Nelson of Dunlow, Wynemia Maynard and husband John of Cleveland, Ohio, and Sharon Hodge and husband William of Crum, one son Maurice Dale Maynard and wife Kathy of Felicity, Ohio, former daughter in law and special friend Patricia Crum and former son in law and special friend Danny Conn. Also surviving is her grandchildren: Tammi, Misty, David, Kim, Dale, Robby, Nikki, Jessie, Danny, Jess, Jayson and Keith, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

DREMA KAY ADAMS TOMBLIN, 62, of Genoa, widow of Rayburn Tomblin, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Maynard & Rev. David Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne. She was born on April 20, 1951 in Dunlow, WV to the late Billy Edward and Lizzie Robinson Adams. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Rayburn Tomblin. Drema is survived by one sister Emma Wilson of Genoa, WV, three brothers, Dennie Adams (Sam) of Genoa, Dwayne Adams and companion Emma Jean of East Lynn, WV, William (Billie Jean) Castle of Waverly, Ohio, five nephews Earl Wilson Jr. of Genoa, Lee Adams of Genoa, WV, Shawn (Theresa) Adams of Decatur, Indiana, Eddie Adams of East Lynn, Darrell Castle of Waverly, Ohio, five nieces Penny (Leonard) Jarrells of Dunlow, WV, Christine (Billy) McCoy of Genoa, Samantha Adams and companion Michael Perry of Lavalette, Amanda Mills of Prichard, and Jamie Castle of Waverly, Ohio. She is also survived by 22 great-nieces and nephews, 2 great-great-nieces and very special loving friends Kathy Johnson of Huntington. Rev. LILLIAN KEESEE, 84, of East Lynn, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Smokey Hager and Brother Eric Wenning officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery, East Lynn. She was born on May 31, 1929, in East Lynn, W.Va., to the late Dennis Adkins and Thurlie Adkins Adkins. Lillian was a homemaker, which she did with pride, and was also caring and loving toward others, especially her family. She was a member of the Wolf Pen Church of Christ, as well as DAV Auxiliary and Gold Star Wives of America. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands Donald Pritchard and William Homer Keesee, and brothers Delbert and Dallas Adkins. Surviving are her children Bettina and King Queen of Wayne, W.Va., Gary and Sherry Pritchard of East Lynn, W.Va.; sisters Ruth Bartram of Huntington, W.Va., and Goldie and Roy Jr. Dillon of Glen Rock, Pa.; five brothers, Asbury and wife Louella Adkins, Wetzel Adkins, Alderson Adkins, all of East Lynn, W.Va., Donald Adkins of Scottown, Ohio and Dennis Lee Adkins of Wayne, W.Va. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brandon and Amy Queen, Christiana and Eric Wenning and Amanda and Jason Hanshaw, and Mamaw Lillie's four great-grandchildren, Brayden and Brycen Queen, Gavin Wenning and Ian Hanshaw. HOBERT M. HUNDLEY, JR., "Hoby", 50, of Kenova, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Roger Maynard and Tony Clay officiating. Burial will follow at the William Perry Cemetery, Dunlow, WV. He was born February 26, 1963 to Hobert, Sr. and Loraine (Perry) Hundley. Hoby was a retired welder from Pipeliners Local Union 798, Tulsa, Ok, which he was a member of since May 18, 1981. He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1982 and was a member of Echo United Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his Grandparents Nathan and Sarah (Aldridge) Perry and Hubert and Amey (Mounts) Hundley and his step parents Gartha Hampton and Emma Jane Hundley. Survivors include his loving parents, Mother - Loraine (Perry) Hundley Hampton of Fort Gay, WV and Father - Hobert M. Hundley, Sr. of South Point, OH; his sister and brother-in-law, Angela Renae and David Maynard of Kitts Hill, Ohio, step sisters Virginia Hampton Jeffers and Lona (John) Rhodes and step brothers Don (Joyce) Hampton and Ronnie (Paula) Hampton. Hoby is also survived by a faithful "furry baby" companion RADAR, along with many family members and neighbors. He loved the Lord and his family. ROGER LEE STALEY, 67 of Kenova, W.Va., went to be with his Lord, Sunday, February 2, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at England Hill Freewill Baptist Church, Catlettsburg, Ky., of which he was a member. Service will be conducted by Pastors Willie May and Kim Stone. Burial will follow at Dock's Creek Cemetery. He was born January 19, 1947, in Kenova, W.Va., the son of Mary Frances Lewis Staley and the late Raymond Barry Staley. He was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Barry Staley Jr. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janice Brown Staley; daughter Amy Kristine Knight and son-in-law Joseph Knight and daughters Rachel Elizabeth Staley and Bari Frances Mays, all of Kenova; and a nephew that he loved like a son, Nathan Ray Staley of Prichard, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Shea, Evan and Matthew Knight, Alexander and Lani Minton and Abigale and Maddy Mays; one great-grandson, Kaidyn Kingery and nephew Justin Clagg; aunts Donna May of Prichard and Fern Fitzpatrick of Huntington, W.Va.; and very special cousins Terry "Topper" Spry, Herma Lynn Davis and Warren "Bossy" Spry. Roger retired from Columbia Gas Transmission and NiSource, Inc. with 32 years of service. He also worked 13 years construction for Local 543. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 93 of Kenova, W.Va., where he was a member of the bowling team for many years. Roger was "Poppy" to his seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild whom he loved, cherished and enjoyed beyond measure. The highlight of Roger's life was his three little shadows, Amy, Beth and Bari. Roger was always willing to help friends when needed and will be greatly missed by many. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, February 4, 2013, at the Reger Funeral Home and from noon until service time on Wednesday at the church. BRANDON AVERY DEAN, 36, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2014. He was born December 4, 1977 in Medina, Oh., and worked as an auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by one sister, LeeAnna Elizabeth Dean. He is survived by his parents Sandra Marie Taylor of The Woodlands, Tex., and Ronald Dean of Wayne; one sister Cathy Hoyt and her husband Douglas of The Woodlands, Tex.; one brother Kelly Shannon Dean of Wayne; one niece Emily Hoyt; four nephews Kelly Dean Jr., Nathan Dean, Matthew Hoyt, and Griffin Hoyt; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention. LINDA SUE HAYTON CHRISTIAN, 71, of Prichard, W.Va., died Monday, February 3, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born May 26, 1942, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Robert and Rosalie Jarrell Hayton. She was the owner and operator of Linda's Beauty Shop. In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her husband Jackie D. Christian. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was also a Sunday School teacher. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Mark" and Brenda Christian of Wayne, W.Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie "Missy" and Matthew Workman of Prichard, W.Va.; three granddaughters, Megan (Jason) Salmons of Prichard, W.Va., Katlin (Sam) Webb of Ashland, Ky., and Abbigail Workman of Prichard, W.Va.; great-grandchildren Jamie, Jada and Chase Salmons; one sister, Barbara Fortner of Prichard, W.Va.; one aunt, Donna Plummer; one uncle, Bobby Jarrell; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and her church family. MICKEL ALLEN CHINN SR., 71 of Kenova, W.Va., husband of Rita Shavers Chinn, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor David Mullins. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born May 23, 1942, in Cabell County, W.Va., a son of Virginia Martin Chinn and the late Walter Chinn. He was a truck driver with Cook Motor Lines and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two special aunts, Sylvia Black and Edna McCown. Additional survivors include two sons, Mickel Allen Chinn Jr., and Ricky Lee Chinn; daughter Diana Lynn White; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brothers Joseph L. Chinn and Roger D. BENJAMIN W. MARCUM, 70, of Prichard, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Ben was born in Logan County, W.Va., to Hezekiah and Avis Cox Marcum, both of whom preceded him in death. Ben, who had a vibrant and enthusiastic personality, was a graduate of Vinson High School and received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Marshall University. After teaching school for a few years, Ben worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for over 30 years. He was a member of Buffalo Valley Missionary Baptist Church. He had a passion for outdoor activities, history, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Lauren Hartzog Marcum and their three sons and their wives, Andrew (Brenda) Marcum of Prichard, W.Va., Jeremiah (Sarah) Marcum of Fort Worth, Texas, and Zachary (Andrea) Marcum of Lavalette, W.Va.; two grandsons who were the delight of his life, Benjamin "Little Ben" and Jacob Marcum of Prichard, W.Va.; one sister, Linda (Eugene) Parsons of Wayne, W.Va.; a special cousin who was like a sister, Shirley (Ercel) Sias of South Point, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Joe (Lana) Hartzog of Bluefield, Va., and Jeff (Gwen) Hartzog of Williamsburg, Va.; several nieces and nephews, Twig (Lara) Dixon, Julie (Chip) Hurley, Michael (Loree) Hartzog, Jeffrey (Amber) Hartzog, Josh (Erica) Hartzog, Scott (Cassie) Parsons and several great-nieces and nephews. PRUDENCE ELOISE MURPHY, 93 of Lavalette, W.Va., passed away on February 6, 2014, at Heritage Center, Huntington, W.Va., with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 7, 1920, in Wayne County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Grover E. Adkins and Nola Blanche McCoy. She was the wife of Elmer Grant Murphy who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by siblings Eula Lee Bryant, Glenn, Richard, Robert and Larry Adkins and Mary Paluskievicz. Prudence worked outside the home as a Comptometer operator but spent many more years as a homemaker. Later in life, she was the owner of Countryside Antiques at Central City, Huntington, W.Va. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her children Michael Wade Murphy (Beth), Mary Ann Murphy Rowe (Larry) and Leslie Lynn Murphy (William "Butch" Gibson). Also surviving are her grandchildren Heather Wheeler (Tony), Reta Collins (Marc), Wade Grant Murphy (Catherine) and Mitchell Grant Gibson; great-grandchildren Reid and Sulley Collins and Oakley and Vance Wheeler; three sisters, Betty Mynes, Patricia Graham (Jack) and Nancy Young (Leon) and many special nieces, nephews and friends. BONITA RENEE BURCHFIELD, 48, of Fort Gay, passed away Thursday February 6, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Medical Center following a long illness. Bonita was born July 1, 1965 at Prestonsburg, KY, the daughter of Linda Harless Burchfield and the late Johnnie Burchfield. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a son Anthony Burchfield of Louisa, KY; her mother Linda Burchfield of Louisa, a brother Timothy Burchfield of Ashland, KY and a sister Karen Lynn Preston of Louisa; adopted sister Patricia Zillges of Milwaukee, WI; two nieces Jamie Castle and Kara Preston and two nephews Jonathan and Justin Burchfield. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday Feb. 8th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Burger officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens at Louisa. CHARLOTTE SARAH WRIGHT NAGLE, 90, of Wayne, W.Va., formerly of Huntington, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014, in Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born September 19, 1923 in Red House, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry Hamilton and Mary Josephine Howell Wright. Her husband, William L. Nagle; a daughter, Judith Dee Nagle Foster; three sisters, Kathryn Jordan, Lois Morris, and Marian Scott; and a brother, Harry Hamilton Wright, Jr., also preceded her in death. Survivors include: two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carolyn Neal of Summerville, S.C., and Rita Elaine (James) Webster of Wayne, W.Va.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis (Jolene) Wright of Lacy, Wash., and Bruce (Lova) Wright and Larry (Gerry) Wright, all of Huntington; two grandsons, Christopher Fry and Brian Fry, both of Huntington; a great grandson, Hayden Fry of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Kelly Webster Fuller and her husband, Scott of Kenova. REV. WARD L. MCCOY, of Ranger, W.Va., departed this life February 7, 2014 at his home with family and Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville at his side. Rev. McCoy was an ordained minister of the Bethlehem Association of United Baptist Churches for 61 years, ordained on May 9, 1952. He was a member of the Upper Ten Mile United Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Leonard and Leza McCoy of Ranger; three brothers Cash, Willard and Kermit McCoy; three sisters Arange McCoy, Easter Sanders and Thelma Manns; and a son-in-law Earl Baisden. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Lucille; son Michael (Mary) McCoy of Verdunville; daughter Brenda Baisden of Verdunville; two grandsons Micah (Becky) McCoy of Verdunville and Marcus (Britneigh) McCoy of Lake; two granddaughters Dawna (Shawn) McGee of Elyria, Ohio and Kimberly Baisden of Verdunville; nine great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; one brother Earnest (Elsa) McCoy of Ypsilanti, Michigan; one sister Stella Miller of Salt Rock and many nieces and nephews, friends and his church family of the Upper Ten Mile United Baptist Church. JOSEPH FRANKLIN PENCE, May 6, 1989 to February 7, 2014. "Joey" was born in Harrisonburg, Va., and was raised in Burlington, Ohio. He resided in Wayne, W.Va., with the love of his life Destiny Day and his daughter Jaelyn Nicole Pence. He is survived by his mother Sandra Pence; father William Pence; three brothers, Eddie Pence, Armondo Gordillo Jr., and Tony Gordillo; daughter Naveah Pence; two nephews, Tony Gordillo Jr., and Connor Runyon; mother and father in-law Dee and Keith Runyon and April Irwin; four sisters-in-law, Pam and Katie Gibson, Brooke Runyon and Lexi Peters. NORMAN BLAINE ADKINS, 75, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away Friday, February 7, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1938, in Wayne County, W.Va., a son of the late Earl and Revada Lusher Adkins. He retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Manufacturing after 37 years. He was also preceded in death by a son Jerel Adkins. ETHEL MAE SPURLOCK HESSON, 70, of Glenwood, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Sunday February 9, 2014. She was born April 23, 1943, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late George Spurlock Sr., and Alfie Stowasser Spurlock. Ethel was a homemaker, loving wife and the best aunt anyone ever had. She was also a member of Sunrise United Methodist Church of Glenwood, W.Va., where she attended all of her life. She was also preceded in death by her husband Garland Max Hesson; two brothers, Henry Spurlock and George Spurlock Jr.; sisters Imogene Faye Bailey, Maxine M. Greathouse, Bessie Irene Bailey, Eleanor Merritt and Eloise Spurlock. She is survived by one brother, Roger Spurlock; sister-in-law Alice Spurlock and three brothers-in-law, Dallas Greathouse, Garland Bailey and Forrest Bailey; several very special nieces and nephews. STANLEY RAY WILSON, 70, of Shoals, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at his residence. He was born December 18, 1943, in Kenova, W.Va., to Henry and Lora Mae Wilson, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Mills Wilson; a daughter Staci Rae Griffith; two sons, Matthew John (Brittany) Wilson and Mark Allen (Leanne) Wilson, all of Huntington, W.Va., and a biological son James (Leyla) Carlivanos of Virginia Beach, Va. He will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren, Logan Shane Griffith, Lacy MarLeah, KimberLynn Hope, Titus Stone and Hattie Rae Ann Wilson. He is also survived by three brothers, Harry David (Janet) Wilson of Kenova, W.Va., Donald Lee (Dona) Wilson of South Point, Ohio and H. Michael (Sandy) Wilson of Cary, N.C.; a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rob and Brenda Crum of Shoals; one nephew, Jamie Crum; two nieces, Melissa Romans and Suella Crum and great-niece and nephew Meagan Abbott and Brandon Romans. RONALD LEE MAYNARD, 79, of Huntington, husband of Thena Maynard, passed away on February 9, 2014, at home with his family. Ronald was born November 3, 1934, and married Thena Frasher Maynard on June 24, 1955. He is an Air Force veteran and retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Company after 42 years of service. Ronald is the son of the late Lafe and Jennie Belle Maynard, brother to Danny and Beverly Maynard and Deloris Jean Maynard who have predeceased him. Ronald is survived by his wife Thena Maynard, daughter Michele Renée Maynard Parsons, her husband Dale Parsons, grandson Jacob Parsons and his fiancée Melissa Logan. MILTON FIELDS JR., "JAKE," 84, of Lavalette, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Heritage Center in Huntington, W.Va. He was born on April 24, 1929, to the late Milton Fields and Maggie Burris Fields. Jake was a cross country truck driver for Dickbrader Express and had a love for music. He was a member of Muskingham (Ohio) County Music Hall of Fame, played on the Grand Ole Opry and the Louisiana Hay Ride with Red Foley and his band. He had his own local radio show in the early 1950's and also managed a guitar store in Zanesville, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Lois Gibson Fields and was the last surviving child of a family of 11 children, four brothers and six sisters. Surviving are his loving wife Wilma Jean Trautwein Fields, son Timothy Fields (Carol) of Zanesville, Ohio, step-son Randy Trautwein (Kim) of Lavalette, step-daughter Debbie Spencer (Ray) of Huntington, grandchildren Heather Jenkins (Seth), Stephanie and Shad, Stephanie, Rebecca, John (Caitlin), Jason and Kevin. CRAIG ANDREW McGLOTHLIN, 25, the beloved, only child of Joe and Neda McGlothlin, and grandson of Ken and Hazel McGlothlin and of Bob and Mary Chapman, drifted into God's arms February 20, 2014. Craig was born in Huntington, West Virginia on March 25, 1988, graduated from Spring Valley High School in 2006 and was currently a senior at Kentucky Christian University pursuing a degree in Accounting. Craig had a zest for life, loved to have fun and never met a stranger. His sky blue eyes and a big, beautiful smile made him a handsome man on the outside, but more importantly, on the inside, his kindness and generosity attracted all who knew him. He deeply cherished his friendship with his closest friends, Aaron Heck, Alex Idol, Carrie Oney, Taylor Strickland, and Kyle Wright. Craig's innate golfing skills and natural talent made him a valuable member of the Spring Valley Golf Team, the American Junior Golf Association and the Top Flight Tour. He won numerous golf awards throughout the years, but the most special was when he and his dad won the West Virginia Father-Child Tournament in 2004. Craig loved the outdoors whether on a golf course or skiing down a snow covered mountain or catching rays on the beach in Hilton Head Island. His ever constant companions, Gilmore and Beamer, two special dogs, loved Craig as much as he loved them. Craig is preceded in death by his uncle Roger Chapman, and cousin Larin Rice. He is survived by his Aunt Peggy (Peppi) and Ron Rice, his Uncle Phil and Claudia McGlothlin, and Uncle Dale and Debbie Chapman and cousins Joshua Chapman, Seth and Jonathan Rice, and Erin and Evan McGlothlin. ROY CHAFFIN, 79, of Eutawville, S.C., formerly of Huntington, W.Va., passed away at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, S.C., on February 21, 2014, and went to be with his heavenly father after battling cancer for only a very short time. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Eva Belle Chaffin. He was born April 13, 1934, in Wayne County, W.Va., and was well-loved and surrounded by his family and friends at his death. He was a Christian and a member of the Sandridge First Baptist Church, in Ridgeville, S.C., and was a former member of Second Guyandotte Baptist Church in Huntington, W.Va., where he attended until 1987. He was a two-time retiree of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Charleston, S.C., where he worked for many years as a painter and was known as "POPS." He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Lester and Kelly Chaffin of Barboursville, W.Va., Carl and Letina Chaffin of Holly Hill, S.C., and Brian and Christenna Chaffin of Eutawville, S.C.; five grandsons, and two granddaughters, Christopher, Elizabeth, Jason, Jonathon, David, Nathan and Lauren; one brother and four sisters, Willis and Glenda Chaffin, Irene and Earl Perry, Nan Blackwell, Doris and Donnie Blake, and Ruth Booth; and many special great-grandchildren. Larry was born on June 7, 1947 in Kenova, a son of the late Robert and Leona Ruth Burley. He was a lifelong resident of Wayne County, W.Va., and retired from the Huntington Sanitary Board as a Supervisor. He was a member of the Madison Avenue Christian Church. He was born July 23, 1946, in Huntington, a son of the late Clarence and Helena May Riffle Parker. He was in the United States Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. Love Hardware after 39 years and was the oldest living member of Wayne Community Church. She was born April 9, 1932, in East Lynn, W.Va., a daughter of the late William Edward and Mary Pearl Stanley Jones. Mattie was a retired nurse for HIMG. She was born July 18, 1930 in Crum, WV to the late Leo and Bertha (Spaulding) Parsley. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Laura Bell Marcum; brothers, James, Grover, and Elmer Parsley; and daughter-in-law, Linda Blaker Marcum. He was born August 12, 1954 in Louisa, Ky. a son of the late Oliver and Effie Marie Crabtree Mounts. He worked at the Fort Gay Police Department, Fort Gay City Council and he was a retired Coal Miner and was the Pastor of Bear Creek Apostolic Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, sisters, Delenna Anderson, Joyce Darlene Keene, and Pearl Robertson; brother, Leroy Mounts. Survivors include his loving wife Orpha Marie Mounts of Fort Gay, W.V.; children, Keith Edward Mounts, Jeffery Allen Mounts, Michelle Lynn Workman and Carl Edmond Mounts Jr.; sisters, Deanna Robertson of Fort Gay,; Carolyn Sue Triplett of Louisa, Ky.; Deloris Frazier of Fort Gay, W.V.; 6 grandchildren, Ashley Michelle Mounts, Jeffery Allen Mounts, Jeremey Allen Mounts all of Fort Gay, W.V.; Summer Dawn Shepard, Haley Allison Shepard, Alexis Nicole Mounts all of Louisa, Ky. LOIS MARY PICKERING PERRY Perry, 90, of Fort Gay, peacefully passed from this life on February 25, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived and loved by her husband of almost 68 years, Ray Frederick Perry; four daughters and one son, Connie (Walter) Crenshaw, Jr., Linda Perry, Michael Perry, Marty (Jerry) Ferrell, and Carol Perry; six grandchildren: Kimberly Crenshaw, Stephanie (Louis) Marchesi, Walter (Kimberly) Crenshaw III, Lauren (Andres) Garcia, Martha (Ben) Edler, Emma Perry; and eight greatgrandchildren: Toby, Olivia, Dominic, Isaac, Blue, Piper, Jamie, and Maliyah. She is also survived by nephews William A. (Kathy) Pickering III and Robert (Kandi) Pickering; nieces Loretta (James) Gallie and Mary Baker; grandnephews William A Pickering IV, Jim (Andrea) Gallie, and Christopher Baker; and grandnieces Jennifer (Jarrette) Strickland, Mary Beth Darnell, Tracy (Jeff) Barnett, and Amanda Baker. She leaves behind two loyal and beloved dogs, Sarah and Foxie, and several grand animals who came for treats. She was predeceased by her parents, William A. and Lois Wilson Pickering, her beloved sister, Olive Pickering deJonge, and her devoted brother, William A. Pickering II. Lois was deeply loved by her sisters-in-law Helen Jameson of Doylestown, OH, Rhozella (Bill) Arnold of Kooskia, ID, Kathryn McCloud of Fort Gay, WV, Mary Madsen of Huntington, WV, and Lottie Perry of Fort Gay, WV, as well as her brother-and sister-in-law Philip and Shirley Perry of Concord, NC. Her brothers-in-law Joseph Perry and Roy Perry and sister-in-law Edith Perry predeceased her. Her Perry nieces and nephews loved her and the brownies and oatmeal cookies she baked for them. Lois was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on December 29, 1923, to William A. Pickering and Lois Wilson Pickering. She graduated from Roxboro High School in North Carolina in 1940, and from Louisburg College in 1941. She worked as a secretary, and those skills were quite useful throughout the years. She married Ray Frederick Perry in May, 1946, and followed him wherever Procter and Gamble assigned them throughout the years. Along the way they had five children, four daughters and one son. They retired in 1979, and lived happily ever after on the family farm on the banks of Mill Creek in Wayne County, WV, for 34 years. Lois and Ray were very active members of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Wayne, WV, from its inception in 1980. She was involved in many fundraising activities and helped prepare refreshments for the Nativity social get-togethers. She welcomed new members and showed her continued support through her cards. She served as a godparent for Baptism candidates and as a Confirmation sponsor as well. She loved being with her family, reading, crafts, music, and her God. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. A Celebration of Life service for Lois will be held at 1 p.m. on March 15, 2014, at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Wayne, WV. ZENNIA D. WILLIAMSON, 93 of Steptown, West Virginia passed away Tuesday, February 25th, 2014 in Canal Winchester, Ohio. She was born in West Virginia on August 24th, 1920 to the late Homer Perdue and Bessie Christian Perdue. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Robert H. Williamson as well as her siblings, Ray Perdue, Lundy Perdue, Hursel Perdue, Kenneth Perdue, and Zuma Perdue. Zennia is survived by one son; Kenneth H. (Regina) Williamson of Canal Winchester, Ohio, two grandchildren; Elizabeth Williamson and Jacob Williamson and one sister; Melda Wilburn of Alexandra, Virginia. Funeral services were held at the Warfield Chapel of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1st at 11a.m. with William Reeves officiating. Burial followed at the Mountain View Memory Gardens in Maher, West Virginia. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
 

ROSCOE RILEY PERDUE, 73 of Wayne, W.Va., went home to be his Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Rick Perdue and Fred Ferguson. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. He was born July 31, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late William Riley Perdue. Roscoe was a member of Wayne Baptist Church and also supported his son, the pastor of East Lynn Baptist Church with his attendance. He was retired from Steel of West Virginia and thoroughly enjoyed watching his beloved Pioneers play football on Friday nights. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Janet Sue Nelson Perdue; a daughter Kimberly (Brett) Lycans; three sons, Michael (DeeDee), John (Tina) and Rick (Kristy) Perdue; six grandchildren, Dana (Rebecca) Lycans, Alyssa Lycans, Justin Perdue, Tanner Perdue, Caylin Bradshaw and Christian Perdue. FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT LITTLE, 80, of Crum, W.Va., passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. He was born June 30, 1933, in Cassie, W.Va., a son of the late Carl and Blanche Cassidy Little. He was preceded in death by siblings Oretha Farmer Kirk, Romaine Mills, Helen Jones, Ernestine Copley, James Little and Carl K. Little Jr. He is survived by siblings Yvonne McCoy of Kenova and Betty (Richard) Konieczko of Columbus, Ohio. In addition, Mr. Little is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends. Mr. Little, owner of Little's Cash Store in Crum, W.Va., retired in 2006, but continued to be active as owner and operator of Tug Valley Farms, also in Crum, W.Va. Mr. Little was an active member of the Crum community until 2010. He was a member of the First Steptown Baptist Church. Mr. Little was also a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served faithfully during the Korean War. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, with a committal service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, W.Va. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, Ohio. Pete was born April 13, 1936, in Ceredo, W.Va., a son of the late John William Norris Sr., and Mary Lorraine Napier Norris. He served in the Army National Guard and was a retired general manager for National Steel. He was preceded in death by one son, John F. Norris and one sister, Lillian Joyce Hubbard. Survivors include his wife Frances J. Norris; one daughter, Leanne Gillispie and husband Jim of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sons, Stephen Norris and wife Roberta of New Braunfels, Texas, Randall Norris and wife Dreama of Lesage, W.Va., Larry Norris of Del City, Okla.; three sisters, Sue Wright of Huntington, Joanne Underwood of Long Beach, N.C., Judy Garland of Naples, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Chapman and one brother-in-law, Larry Michael McDaniel, both of Huntington.
