During the last 52 years, he has pastored several area churches and held too many revivals to name. He was the pastor of Ceredo Christian Baptist church for 30 years and for the last four years made his home at Scottown Independent Community Church. Cleo was a soldier for God; a faithful servant for His Kingdom. He was a wonderful teacher, counselor, friend, and brother who spent countless hours visiting the sick and the lost in the community. Always early, he would sometimes beat the patient who was having surgery to the hospital. He had an avid interest in anything with wheels and a motor but more than anything he loved airplanes. He devoted a big part of his life to the Lawrence County Airpark where he spent countless hours doing what he loved. They called him a late bloomer as he received both his high school diploma and his pilot's license at the age of 70. As good as he was to everyone in the community, he was even better to his family. He was the best husband, dad, father-in-law and papaw that there could ever be. He loved his family more than anything in this world and did everything in his power to make sure everyone was happy, healthy, and had everything they needed. He leaves behind a legacy like no other of unwavering faith in our Heavenly Father and gave us hope of seeing him again one day because of the free gift of salvation. In 1961 God placed him on the firing line, and he kept on it faithfully until he made his final move. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
