HANEY LOUISE BYRD, 83, of Huntington, went to be with her Lord Friday, September 1, 2017, at Madison Park. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with her cousins, Pastor Donnie McCloud and Pastor Willie May, officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. She was born October 16, 1933, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Thadies Daniel and Ella McCloud Chaffin. She was also preceded in death by infant sisters, Phyllis Chaffin and Helen Chaffin; sisters, Anna Belle Perdue and Opal Marie (Bonnie) Hewer; and a brother, Jack Chaffin. She was a former beautician at Mamzelle Beauty Salon in Ceredo, attended Christ Temple and was once a member of Sweet Adelines. Survivors include her husband, James C. Byrd; two daughters, Brenda (Mike) Carter of Midlothian, Va., and Pamela (Jay) Greaney of Huntington; a son, James Michael (Debbie) Byrd of Huntington; seven grandchildren, Rob (Jessica) Dodge and Lisa (Ken) Biggs, all of Midlothian, Va., and Chris (Katie) Byrd, Sam Byrd, Larry Byrd, Stephen Greaney and Richard Allen Cremeans, all of Huntington; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. MARY ELIZABETH MUSIC CROCKETT, 57, of Huntington, went to be with Jesus on September 1, 2017. She was born on May 30, 1960. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donnie Music and Lilly Ethel (Adkins) Music. Mary was a lover of animals of all kinds, especially her family pet, Dozer. She adored different genres of music, listening to Jimmy Swaggart and loved dancing. Mary is now dancing and singing with the angels in Heaven. She loved Jesus with all her heart. Mary will never know how much she was loved and the hole that will be left in the hearts of all those who cared for her. She leaves behind to mourn her loss; three sisters, Patricia Adkins (William), Ladonna Riggs (John) and Deborah Spence (Timmy); two brothers, Paul Music (Linda) and Mike Music. Also, surviving are four nieces and nine nephews, Melissa Adkins, Misty Gaeger, Stacy Smith, Mike Riggs, Larry Adkins, Johnathan Riggs, Charles Music, J.D. Music, Raymond Music, James Music, Timmy Spence, Jr. and Chris Music and many great nieces, great nephews & friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Friday, September 8, 2017 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Bro. David Fairburn, officiating. CARRIE KATHERINE SKINNER, 77, of Fort Gay, WV passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV with Pastor Fred Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne. She was born on December 9, 1939 in Wilsondale, WV, a daughter of the late Melvin Kirk and Willie Mae MacIntire Kirk. Carrie was a homemaker and a member of Wayne Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Jonah Russell; second husband, Kenneth Skinner; a son, Scott Russell; three brothers, Roy Thomas, Bernard and James Kirk. Survivors include her two sons, David Russell (Diana) and Carl Russell (Stacey) all of Fort Gay; one sister, Patsy Richardson and one brother, Bill Kirk (Deborah) all of Winder, GA; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morris Funeral Home.

CHARITY KAYE DILLON DAMRON, 43, of Genoa, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, with Pastor Travis Perry officiating. She was born April 22, 1974 in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of Rosie and Merrill Whipkey of Wayne, WV. She was a director for the Wayne County Family Resource Network and also a director for Wayne County Habitat for Humanity. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Martha Belle Reames. Additional survivors include her husband, Ivory Lee Damron, Jr. A Leebug ; four daughters, Marinda Faye Damron, Rhonda Leann Perry (Nathan), Kimmy Dawn Ramey, and Raelynn Renee Russell-Damron; a son, Benjamen Thomas Rowe; two sisters, Lori Brewer (Mike) and Misty Adkins; a brother, Matthew Dillon (Carla); her father-in-law, Ivory Lee Damron; nieces and nephews Kayla and Chris Scarberry, Jacob Aaron Adkins, Chris Brewer, Alexis Adkins; and her great-niece and nephews, Jonathan Lucas, Jayden Lucas and Hunter Lucas. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday at Morris Funeral Home.

DOUGLAS WORKMAN, 63, of Harts, W.Va., husband of Nary Elizabeth Workman, died Sept. 4, 2017 at home. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, W.Va.; burial following in Workman Cemetery, Rollem, Wayne County, W.Va. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

CONNIE MARIE ROMANS, 74, of Kenova, WV, Went to be with her Lord on September 4, 2017. She was born December 7, 1942 in Cabell Co. to the late Herbert W. Riggs and Martha Rowe. She is also preceded in death by her Sisters: Hester Dale (Harlan) and Betty Smith (Jack); her brother, Randall Riggs; her brother-in- Law, Frank Orndoff. Connie is survived by her loving husband, Dewey Romans; her children; Ballard Romans (Melissa), Dennis Romans (Deadra), Dewey Romans (Terusha) and Martha Simpkins. Also surviving are her siblings; Chuck Riggs (Nola) and Francis Orndoff; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. A special thank you to her granddaughter, Connie Marie and her husband, Dewey for the wonderful care she received. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, 1 p.m. September 7, 2017 at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home, with pastor Dennis Romans officiating. Family will welcome friends one hour prior to services.

GLENN WESLEY PRICHARD, 87, of Crum, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2017. He was born June 3, 1930, a son of the late Otis and Julia Prichard. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Prichard. Glenn is also preceded in death by his loving wife of more than forty-five years, Virginia Prichard. He was drafted in 1954 and served in the United States Army. Glenn was a lifelong educator and scholar, having obtained degrees from Marshall University, University of Kentucky, Virginia Tech University, Pikeville College and Tri-State Bible College. He served as a teacher at numerous schools, as principal at Crum High School, Mingo Christian School in Lenore, W.Va., and FBC Christian School in Louisa, Ky. He also served as Superintendent of Martin County, Kentucky, Schools. He was Dean of Students of all three campuses at South West Virginia Community College. He was a member of the Crum Missionary Baptist Church in Crum, W.Va., for more than forty years. Glenn was a former member of the Wayne County Community Service Organization Board and a current member of the King Coal Highway Board, Kermit Volunteer Fire Department Board, Wayne County Building Commission and Crum Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his siblings, Otis H. Prichard (Ida Mae) of Grove City, Ohio, and Virgie Small of Nashville, Tenn. He is also survived by his two daughters, Julia A. Reeves (Billy) of Somerville, Tenn., and Veva G. Prichard Fry (Jason) of Crum, W.Va. Additionally, he is survived by two grandsons, William Glenn Chip Reeves (Jenny) and Joey Reeves (Danielee), and three great-grandchildren, Kaia Reeves, Titus Reeves and Sadie Reeves. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky, with Reverend Don Matney and Pastor Greg Ramey officiating. SADIE WEBB RICE, 92, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, West Virginia. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home, Wayne, West Virginia, with Pastor Fred Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne, West Virginia. Sadie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the daughter of the late Jay and Martha Jane Robertson Webb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde Rice; son-in-law, Dale Simpkins; grandson, Carl David Simpkins; two brothers, Cullie and Boyd Webb; and two sisters, Lillian Marcum and Margie Hundley. Surviving her are two daughters, Irene Ferrell and Dorothy Simpkins; a very special son-in-law, Johnny Ferrell; four grandsons who were so precious to her, Tracy (Shannon) Simpkins, Randy (Meg) Simpkins, Clyde E. (Nita) Ferrell and Casey (Selena) Ferrell; 10 great-grandchildren, Kelva, Clyde R., Makayla, Emily, Haley, Austin, Hannah, Abby, Jacob and Emma; three great-great-grandchildren, Riley, Riceton and Leon; and several nieces and nephews. PATRICIA "PATTY" BIAS SHAVER, 51, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Patty was born in Huntington, W.Va., on February 26, 1966, and is the daughter of Linda Webb of Chesapeake, Ohio, and Lemach "Bucky" Bias of Huntington, W.Va. She was preceded in death by two sons, Joshua Allen Little and Thomas Eric Shaver, her maternal grandparents, Prentice and Hazel Webb of Pilgrim, Ky., and her paternal grandparents, Arnold and Osie Bias of Lavalette, W.Va. She is survived by Chris Fry, a special friend of 14 years; her children, Vanessa (John Pickard) Little of Louisville, Ky., Justin (Larissa Roberts) Little of Huntington, W.Va., Ryan (Drema) Little of Huntington, W.Va., and Corey (Rebecca) Jarrell of Gulfport, Miss.; grandchildren, Destiny Ross, Karen Farris, Paige Collins, Jase Collins, Jaxon Canter, Makenna London, Rose Jarrell, Chloe Jarrell, Misty Pickard, Tyler Pickard and Jay Pickard; sisters, Kim (Damian Norris) Miller of Kirkland, Wash., Holly (Topher) Murphy-Mattox of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Melissa (Sean) Bias Vititoe of Southport, N.C.; brothers, Keith Bias of Englewood, Colo., and Robbie (Audra Walters) Burns of Lexington, Ky.; nieces, Ashley Worden, Abby Burns and Reagan Miller; nephews, Harper and Finley Mattox, Thomas Valdez, Bentley Bradley, Jacob and Zachary Carver and Caleb Vititoe; a special aunt, Beverly Jean Webb of Ashland, Ky.; her best friend, Stephanie Nall of Louisville, Ky.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. JACK DAVIS PATTERSON, 89, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at his residence. Funeral service will be noon Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Tom Nolan. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Jack was a retired employee with the Huntington Floodwall Board. He was born on October 22, 1928, in Pax, W.Va., the son of the late Cecil and Hila Davis Patterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jack Timothy Patterson; three brothers, Pat, Bob and James Lee Patterson; three sisters, Lucille Barbour, Marie Hutchinson and Juanita Hutchinson. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lillian Fannin Patterson; one son and daughter-in-law, Jon M. and Barbara Patterson; daughter-in-law, Jonora Patterson Dillon; five grandchildren and spouse, Jake, Elisabeth and Aden Patterson, Jack Timothy Patterson II and Amber Patterson, and Brooke Patterson; one great-grandchild, Avery Patterson; a host of nieces and nephews. ZEA ALENE NOLEN, 81, of Genoa, W.Va. , went to her heavenly home Thursday, September 7, 2017. She was born April 4, 1936 at Fort Gay , W.Va. , a daughter of the late Jarrett and Armilda Parsons. Her husband James Nolen also preceded her in death along with five sisters Emma Drummond, Ann Rickman, Ruby Holland, Lutie Davis and Gladys Robertson, and three brothers S. J. Parsons, Clarence A Buck Parsons, and Herbert Parsons. Zea was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church . Survivors include three children, Connie (Bill) Talbert of Wayne, W.Va., Mary Ann (Ron) Stone of Huntington, W.Va., and Jim (Linda) Nolen of Belpre, Ohio; grandchildren, James (Susan) Perry of Genoa, Tammy (Jim) Chafin also of Genoa, Jessica (Sam) Leep of East Lynn, W.Va., Jason (Lindsey) Pridemore of Wayne, Ryan Nolen of New Brunswick, N.J., Michele (Tom) Perry of Wayne, and Brian (Jennifer) Talbert of New Hartford, W.Va.; and great grandchildren Peyton Perry, Taylor Chafin, Keleigh Chafin, Hayden Leep, and Gavin Leep. Also surviving is one sister, Irene Rowe of Huntington ; special caregivers, Larry Robertson and Peggy Thierry; and a host of special nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family too numerous to mention. LORENE VIRGINIA MARSHALL, 93, of Wayne, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 8, 2017, just two weeks before her 94th birthday. She was born September 22, 1923 in Wayne County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Wayne and Bessie Frazier Dean. Her husband, Pearly Marshall, also preceded her in death along with all eight brothers and sisters; Mary Crabtree, Nina Etter, Sadie Dean, Arnold Dean, Drewie Dean, Willie Dean, Edmond Dean, and Inez Marshall. Lorene was a homemaker and a member of Garrett' s Creek Church of Christ. She leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews; her church family whom she cherished; and her many dear friends at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Evangelists Barney Owens and Wyn Baker officiating. TIMOTHY SCOTT "Corky" SIZEMORE, 27, of Louisa, Ky., passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 after a long illness. Born December 21,1989 at Logan, W.Va., he was preceded in death by Granny Martha Block, Grandpa Ron Sizemore, and Grandma Patty Sizemore. He is survived by his father and mother James and Cathy Sizemore of Louisa, Ky.; grandpa and grandma Johnny and Joann Belt of Calhoun, W.Va.; brothers Donnie Sizemore of Louisville, Ky., Anthony Sizemore, and James Sizemore Jr. both of Louisa, Ky.; sister Kristina Sizemore of Louisa, Ky.; two nephews, Hunter Peirson and Carter Sizemore; three nieces, Lacey Peirson, Kelly Sizemore, and Brylee Sizemore; several uncles and aunts; and friends too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11 a.m, at the Little Yellow Church at Jennie's Creek, with Brother A.J. Block officiating. WILLIAM CHRISTOPHER HUTCHISON, 48, of Kenova, WV, died Saturday September 9, 2017 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Graveside funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday September 13, 2017 at Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington, with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow. Chris was born July 21, 1969 in Huntington, WV a son of William Hutchison and friend Penny Curry of Huntington and Barbara Owens Hamsher and husband Andrew of Monroe, NC. Chris worked at Geer Brothers Body Shop. He attended Fourth Ave United Methodist Church in his youth and First Baptist Church of Kenova. Additional survivors include three daughters, Mallory, Hailey and Clara Hutchison and two sons, Trevor Christopher and William Thomas Hutchison all of Huntington, two sisters, Heather Lee McMurtry and husband Patrick of Nashville, TN and Tiffany Dawn Haid and husband Michael of Midlothian, TX, paternal grandmother, Jackie Hutchison of Huntington, grandmother, Joyce Owens of Barboursville, aunt and uncle, Jim and Linda Hutchison of Barboursville, the loving mother of his five children, Jennifer Hutchison of Huntington and several nieces, nephews and cousins. JEFFREY KIM PERRY, 56, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He worked as a truck driver for more than 28 years. He was born March 9, 1961, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of John Bill and Irna Lee Perry of Genoa, W.Va. His sister, Neta Perry, preceded him in death, along with grandparents Era and Curtis Perry and uncle Kim Perry. In addition to his parents, Jeffery is survived by his wife Mary Perry; son Chris (Kayla) Edwards of Greenup, Ky.; daughter Jordan Perry of Flatwoods, Ky.; and estranged son Jacob (Danielle) Perry of Grayson, Ky.; two grandchildren, Brooke and Bohden Edwards; very special friends Kevin Adkins and Randy Perry, both of Wayne, W.Va., and aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to mention. LILLY MAE STEPHENS, 77, of Lavalette, WV passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV with Brother Danny Damron officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne. She was born May 18, 1940 in Prestonsburg, KY to the late Arlland and Mary McGinnis Page. She was a long time employee of the Wayne Restaurant and served on the Wayne Town Council. She also enjoyed bowling and coaching softball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, George Stephens; five sisters, Alma Eades, Betty Johnson, Lou Emma Hancock, Opal Porter and Odie Howard; two brothers, Otis Page and Junior Page. She is survived by one daughter, Traci Stephens of Lavalette; one son, Jeffrey Stephens of Wayne; four grandchildren, Joshua Jacob Laney, James Edward Laney, III, Samantha Stephens, Geoffrey Stephens; one great-grandchild, Aiden James Adkins. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8, Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the funeral home.

GLEN BARTRAM, 87, of Wooster, Ohio, formerly of West Virginia, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, following a brief illness at Wooster Community Hospital. He was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Fort Gay, West Virginia, to the late Okie and Meda Thompson Bartram, and lived most of his life in Rittman, Ohio, West Virginia and Wooster, Ohio. Glen proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Willadeen Huff, and they have been happily married for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and gardening. He was a member of the Blue Masonic Lodge of Wayne, West Virginia and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonary. Surviving is his wife Willadeen; sons David (Judy) Bartram and Donald Bartram, both of Wooster, Ohio; daughters Debra (Bob) Nester of Wooster, Ohio, and Diana (Wayde) Hatten of West Salem, Ohio; grandchildren Jami Pittman of Wooster, Ohio, and Jason (Lisa) Nester of Stow, Ohio; great-grandchildren Kiwi, Kaden, Samuel and Sarah; brother Roy (Margaret) Bartram of West Virginia; sister Dorothy (Bill) Stewart of West Virginia; brother-in-law Ben (Penny) Huff of Rittman, Ohio; and sisters-in-law Evia Garlock of Denver, Colorado and Mamie (Gene) Moine of Wadsworth, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Harold and James Bartram; and sisters Claris Johnson and Betty. JUDY ANN MAY, 67 of Kenova, W.Va., went to be with her Lord on September, 11, 2017, at her home. She was born in Huntington, W.Va., on November 13, 1949; a daughter of the late Maxwell Ross and Nora Sowards. Judy was a retiree of Marshall University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Terry May and her grandchild, Natasha Estep. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her children Tina Cornwell (Charles), Candy Farris and Lyle Terry May Jr.; her grandchildren, Michael Farris (Donna), Shawn Johnson (Megan), Ciara May, Terry Wilkinson and Christopher Bryant; and her great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Farris and Malachi May. Also surviving are her siblings Edna Booth, Margaret Ramey, Larry Ross (Chic) and Charles Ross; her best friend Diana Kipp, and a host of other family and friends. BILLY JOE WELLMAN, 86, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at the Heritage Center in Huntington, W.Va. JERRY RONALD WELLMAN, 77, of Wayne, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born October 5, 1939 at Wayne, WV, a son of the late Curtis Arnold and Edith Ellen Ross A Dutch@ Wellman. Jerry retired from Cabell-Huntington Hospital as a radiographic technologist with over 30 years of service. He was a graduate of Wayne High School where he was a member of National Honor Society, Society of Journalism Club, member and president of 4-H Leaders. He was a member of Gideons International and former president of Wayne High Band Boosters. He attended Wayne Baptist Church but was a member of 61 years of the Wayne United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and had received a 35 year attendance pin. Jerry was also a member of Wayne Masonic Lodge # 18, AF & AM which will conduct graveside rites. His daughter, Vicky Ellen Adkins and his sister, Glennalee Fulks, also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Deedy Mount Wellman; a sister, Otalee Reynolds and husband, Joe of Reynoldsburg, OH; his twin brother, Jack D. Wellman and wife Anna of Wayne, WV; and special friends Dwayne and Clara Wallace, Erika Wallace and the Herbert Toppings family and several additional relatives and friends. BERNICE FAY MARSHALL, 97, of South Point, Ohio, formerly of Huntington, widow of Jody Marshall, passed away to be with her Lord, on Monday September 18, 2017, at Heartland of Riverview, South Point. Graveside funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. Burial will follow. She was born February 5, 1920, in Emma, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Kelly and Alice Mosley Kendrick. Bernice had a career of more than 35 years in sales at both The Bazaar Store and The Huntington Store. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Billie Plymale; brothers Billy, Russell and Gene Kendrick and sisters Margaret Jean Porter and Martha Jane Porter. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Joann and Tommy Grubb of Arkansas and Faye Jordan of Huntington; grandchildren Timothy Dale Grubb of Florida, Jason Grubb of Arkansas, Dee McComas and Terry J. Her husband of 50 years, Theodore Brumfield, also preceded her in death along with three brothers, Fred Aldridge, Filmore Aldridge, and Willis Aldridge; and one sister, Slena Watts. She leaves behind two sons, Noah Brumfield of Huntington and James Brumfield of Lavalette, W.Va.; one daughter, Patricia Walker of Huntington; and one granddaughter, Crystal Mills, also of Huntington. Her husband, Samuel H. Frye also preceded her in death along with five brothers Homer, Howard, Norman, Frank, and Larry; seven sisters, Ester, Kathleen, Lorain, Hester, Betty, Mary, and Justina; and grandchildren, Jimmie Crabtree Jr. and Amy Elizabeth Clay. Survivors include two daughters, Veronica Combs, and Theresa A. CARL BENNETT GREGORY, 81, of Huntington, widower of Bonnie Ann Rogers Gregory, died Sept. 26, 2017 in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born April 25, 1936 in Huntington a son of the late Cecil Boyce and Sarah Catherine Dick Gregory. Other family that have preceded him in death were two sisters, Ruby Arthur and Ella Faye Lusher; and three brothers, Rodney Easthom, Lawrence Easthom, and Hershel Easthom. Carl was a U.S. Air Force veteran and after returning he worked at Houdaille Industries until they closed then joined the U.S. Army Reserves with the 326-ordinance company, Spring Valley Dr., and retired from the U.S. Department of Army Civilian. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16 and VFW Post 9738. TOM PERRY SR., 83, of Proctorville, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the Hospice House of Huntington, W.Va. Military Burial will follow at Cyrus Cemetery. Tom was born November 15, 1933, in Wayne County, W.Va., the son of the late Elias Lee and Marie Pratt Perry. In addition to his parents, four brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. Tom married Laura Athalone Murray Perry on June 5, 1954, in Kenova, W.Va. She survives. Also surviving are sisters, Phyllis Caudill and Lora Lee Perry; three children, Tom Perry Jr. (Sonia Perry), Timothy A. Perry (Jeannie Perry) and Kim Dinell Perry Lewis (Roger Lewis); and eight grandchildren, Timothy A. Perry Jr., Zachary Elias Perry (Christie), Zebulan Ray Perry, Caitlin Marie Perry, Matthew Vinson Perry, Jacob A. Lewis, Amanda Blaine Lewis and Jessica Haley Lewis; and four great-grandchildren, Haleigh B. Perry, Daniel S. Perry, Dylan Perry and Aria Perry. He was a member of Proctorville Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio, and a 50-year member and Master Mason of Vinson Lodge No. 66, Fort Gay, W.Va. Tom was a graduate of Wayne High School and received an honorary degree from Alderson Broaddus University in 1994. Tom served proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Wasp. He was a member of American Legion Post #93 Kenova, whose Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites. Tom was a member of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers and retired from both the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Shell Oil Company. He left behind his siblings, Juanita, Mike, Gilmer, Betty, Helen, Earl, Myrtle and Verlin; mother-in-law, Kesselene and Ed; and many wonderful family and friends. He was a humble man and a hard worker. Harold spent his life providing for his family by farming and logging. He worked for ANR. He taught his children the meaning of God, family, love, respect, working hard and honesty. He greeted everyone with a smile and open heart. He loved his wife, family and animals beyond measure. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Monday at Bethlehem United Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Bethlehem United Baptist Church, by Pastor Jamie Clay and Pastor Garland Perry. Burial will be in Cedar Cliff Cemetery, East Lynn, W.Va. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements. SANDRA SUE WHITE, 64 of Kenova, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 29, 2017. She was born August 31, 1953, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Virginia Saxton Curry. She was also preceded in death by two sons, J.R. and Ricky Schneberger; and one grandson, Levi. She is survived by her husband, Paul White; three sons, Charlie (Lacey) Schneberger, Allen (Kym) Schneberger and Carl (Amber) Schneberger, all of Cherokee, Okla.; two stepsons, Paul White and Jeff White, both of Chesapeake, Ohio; two sisters, Judy Butcher of Huntington and Anita (Kim) Ellis of Barboursville; one brother, William Curry of Huntington; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastor Fred Ramey officiating. Burial will be in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. Visitation will be from one hour prior to the service.

MILDRED MARIE A Midge MAYNARD, 91 of Huntington, WV, formerly of Logan, WV, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 29, 2017 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jay Ross. Burial will follow at Adkins Cemetery, Logan, WV. She was born September 26, 1926 in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Alther M. and Rosa M. Maynard. A Midge was a homemaker and long standing member of the New Philadelphia United Baptist Church. Two brothers, Marshall T. Maynard and Arville R. Maynard also preceded her in death, along with a nephew, Renee Maynard. Survivors include a niece, Gloria Desselles and husband, Don; seven nephews, Bryan Maynard and wife, Bonnie (with whom she made her home), Darrell T. Maynard and wife, Eva, Kevin Maynard and wife, Robbie, Andre Maynard and wife, Beth, Ed Maynard and wife, Melissa, Jimmy Maynard and wife, Vanessa, and Eric Maynard; numerous great nieces and nephews, a great-great niece, two special caretakers, Robert Dale Flowers and Jimmie Flowers; and two very special friends, Twila Ratliff and Betty Perry. CLAUDE GAYLEN CISCO entered into his eternal rest and heavenly reward on September 30, 2017, at Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rush and Georgie Cisco; brothers, Rush, Linkeous and Dexter Cisco; and sisters, Aileene Stringer and Madeline Kennedy; and his first wife, Glennis Rose. Left to celebrate his life is his wife, Audrey; daughter, Georgia (Sissy) Cisco of South Charleston, W.Va.; son, Gaylen David Cisco of Kenova; stepdaughter, Lamoine Potter of Huntington; and stepson, Joe Bellomy of Kenova. He is also survived by grandchildren, Gaylen David "G" Cisco of Kenova, "special" grandson, Jaxson Bryan Kinder of Kenova, and granddaughter, Lexi Potter, plus several nieces and nephews. While traveling this earth, Gaylen never saw a stranger ... just people he had not yet met. He knew no strangers and became a committed friend to all he encountered. His joy was his family, and he never failed to expound on their abilities and accomplishments like the proud Dad and Papaw he was. Gaylen was self employed and an avid antique car collector and never passed up the chance to "wheel and deal" for what he considered a bargain. The Bible says in Roman 14:7-8 that "For none of us lives to himself and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's." Because we, the family, believe in the promise of Jesus, we humbly ask that you join us at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, at The Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, to celebrate the life of our loved one. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., with services to begin at 1 p.m., with Pastor Marty Gute officiating. NETTIE ELIZABETH McGOWN COLE, 90, of Kenova, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2017, at Huntington Health & Rehab. She was born April 10, 1927, to the late Delbert McGown and Edna (Akers) McGown Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Cole of 59 years. Nettie was a member of Freewill Baptist Church, Westmoreland, W.Va. In addition to her husband and parents, Nettie was preceded in death by her two sisters, Annabelle Pratt and Polly Thompson; and one brother, Sherman McGown. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, children, Terry Lee Cole (Donna) of Kenova and Beverly A. Cole of Conneaut, Ohio; grandchildren, Terry Lee Lowe (Michele), Christi Poehlein (Brian), Jeff Lowe, Wendy Adkins (Nick) and Marci Spring (Dan). Also, surviving are 10 great-grandchildren, Brett Allen, Sammy, Mariah, Kaylee, Cole, Callie, Arastella, Kyndall, Keigan and Cole; several nieces and nephews; special sister in-law, Betty Adkins; and a very caring nurse, Jennifer.
