This is the new Fort Gay K-8 Grade School, which opened this fall for classes. On the mound to the right, under the large tree,
is located the John Wellman Cemetery

Ronnie Adkins has completed a new book on the Ross Family of Wayne County. Ronnie is also the author of other genealogy books of this area. Ronnie informs me that this new book contains about 1000 pages and lists some 30,000 descendants of John Ross and his wives, Mary Harvey Davis and Hannah Scott.
