Preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Chafin, an infant daughter, Anna Jean Chafin; six brothers and one sister. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Freda and Bill Sommerville. Burial February 9, 2002 in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.
