CANTLEY, 87, of Huntington, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Born June 17, 1917 in Bluefield, a daughter of the late William and Ida Watson.  Preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Watson; sister, Mildred Dean; daughter, Wanda Mae Thompson; granddaughter, Teresa J. Peterson.  Survivors include her husband, George T. Cantley; daughters, Drema Mealey and Cecelia “Ceggie” Pelfrey; sister, Mary Wheeler; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Burial  December 4, 2004 at the Woodmere Memorial Park.

COMBS, 63, of Ashland City, TN, formerly of Ceredo, in the Hillcrest Healthcare in Cheatham County, TN.  Born December 7, 1940 in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Carl and Stella Smith Carver.  Preceded in death by a son, James Gregory Combs.  Survivors include husband, Fred Combs Sr.; sons, Fred Combs Jr. and Mike Combs; brothers, Carl, David and George Carver; sisters, Vickie Carver, Dorothy Ross, Carol Parsley, Sharon Hensley, Janet Brown, Zara Bachelor and Linda Wellman; and four grandchildren.  Burial December 5, 2004 in the Dock’s Creek Cemetery, Kenova.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Mitchell Jr. and Eddie Mitchell; one sister, Virgie Mitchell, and a daughter, Madge Petty.  Survivors include his wife, Dorothy May Bryant Mitchell; four sons, James and Eddie, William Mitchell Jr. and Jerry Mitchell; five daughters, Ruth Finley, Vickie McCarty, Georgia White, Joyce Mitchell and Alice Mitchell; three brothers, Freddie, Denver and George Mitchell; a sister, Arnie Sweeney, and nine grandchildren.  Burial December 4, 2004 at the Mitchell Family Cemetery, with military graveside rites, as Mr. Mitchell was a veteran of the Korean War.
