DIED – JUNE 1, 2008 ** MRS. MARTHA ANN DAVIS BOWE, 88, of Kenova, W.Va., at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Born October 20, 1919, at New Martinsville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry Franklin and Margaret Elizabeth VanCamp Davis.  Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Bowe; sisters, Ortie Levada Hassig and Ulla Irene Smith; and brothers, Herman Franklin Davis, Denzil H. Davis, and Melvin Daniel Davis.  Survivors include a daughter, Victora Bowe Orton, two sons, James R. Bowe and Daniel R. Bowe and three grandchildren.  Burial June 4, 2008, at Elmwood Cemetery at Wayne.

Born March 10, 1942, in Chatteroy, W.Va., a son of the late Wilburn and Lola Meade Bowen.  Survived by his wife, June Bowen, daughters, Paulette (Harold Jr.) Rakes, Annette (David) Meek, and Milissia (Glenn) Henry; four grandchildren, two very special children, Frank Hatten Jr., and Bethanie Hatten; three brothers, George (Judy) Bowen, Joe Bowen and Earl Bowen; four sisters, Rita (Monte) Stepp, Rhonda (George) McCoy, Lil (Mike) Walker, Dixie (Pleaze) Workman; sister-in-law, Shirlene Hardwick; mother-in-law, Pauline Dillon, and his brother, Harold Pemberton.  Burial on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at the Webb Family Cemetery in Webb, W.Va.

Preceded in death by parents, and her brother, Joe Brooks.  Survived by husband, Herb; her son Charles (Jean) Shuff; three daughters, Betty (Duane) Frey, Mary Lou (Sandy) Andrews of and Terri Lea (Lee) Lever, 12 grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.  Burial June 6, 2008, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport, Ill.

Born in Wayne County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Reynold and Mossie Lee Maynard Baisden, both former Mingo County, West Virginia natives.  Preceded in death by her husband, James Otis Williamson, a daughter, Patricia Clark; and brothers, Orville, Luther, Jesse, and Billy Baisden. Survived by daughter Barbara Sims and husband, Gene; sons Harold Williamson and wife, Charlotte, James Williamson and wife, Anne, Allen Williamson and wife, Phyllis,  brother Millard Baisden and wife, Thelma and thirteen grandchildren.  Burial June 8, 2008, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, West Virginia.

DIED – JUNE 5, 2008 **LAWRENCE THOMPSON, 70, of Fort Gay.  Born Feb. 20, 1938 in Mill Creek to the late Bill and Eliza Thompson.  Survived by sons Mark, Mike and Steven Thompson.  He is also survived by four sisters, Rosa Caudill, Georgia Frazier, Tennie Vanhoose, Linda Lamb and two brothers, Joe Thompson and Olen Thompson. He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Burial June 9, 2008 in the Fort Gay Cemetery.

DIED - JUNE 5, 2008 ** MICHAEL ALLEN SMITH, 43.  Preceded in death by grandfather William Damron.  Survived by parents Ethel and Kenneth Smith and grandmothers Amanda Damron and Pauline Saunders; brothers Richard Smith and Shane Smith, and sister Dawn McDonald as well as four nieces and nephews and one grand niece and one grand nephew; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He will be sadly missed by his fiancι of ten years Cyndi Stamp of California. His body was cremated and sent home to California.

Preceded in death by his son, Michael Drenner and one sister, Dixie Adkins.  Survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Alice Drenner and Mary Clark and one brother, Benny Ray Drenner.  Burial June 12, 2008 at the Ross Cemetery. DIED – JUNE 7, 2008 ** TALITHA BOOTHE McSWEENEY, 81, of Wayne, at Hospice House of Huntington.  Born August 6, 1926, in Wayne, W.Va., a daughter of the late Elba and Emily Smith Booth.  Preceded in death by her husband, Tom McSweeney,  two sisters, Mae Booth and Beulah Booth; three brothers, Morris, Elston and Curtis Booth; four sisters-in-law, Violet Booth, Lois Booth, Emma Booth and Beatrice Booth; and a brother-in-law, Harold Bennett.  Survived by two daughters, Linda McSweeney, Martha Ann Blevins and husband Dave; a son, Bob McSweeney and wife Connie, a sister, Josa Bennett,  a brother, Pearl Booth, four grandchildren, and a host of additional family and friends.  Burial June 10, 2008 at Smith Cemetery.

Gay, W.Va., a daughter of the late John L. and Leota Frazier Frasher.  Preceded in death by four sisters, Alma Friley, Marie Hooser, Edith Salmons and Mildred Schafer and four brothers, Lester, Wayne, Gordon and Wilbur Frasher.  Survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James M. "Jim" and Carol A.Perry; two grandchildren; one brother, Billy Jim Frasher and his wife Ramona; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Diane Ellis.  Burial June 13, 2008, at Hillcrest Cemetery.
