as a bricklayer from Connors' Steel after 30-years and 8-months of service.
A member of Camp Creek Freewill Baptist Church for 32-years, his life was a
testimony to his faith in God. A quiet, humble man, all who took time to
know him could see his great love for the Lord and for his family. He was a
lifelong farmer and liked nothing better than working his farm and tending
his livestock. An avid gardener, he was known for the many beautiful roses
he started from slips for friends and family. This season, he was growing a
vegetable garden along with the next three generations of his family. He was
mischievous and enjoyed joking and story-telling with those close to him.
Children loved him almost as much as he loved them and they gravitated to
him wherever he was. He was greatly loved and respected by all who knew him.
Words cannot express how sorely he will be missed. His sons, son-in-law,
grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Wallace Funeral
Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 6
