JOY DEL BAILEY, 80, of Huntington, West Virginia left this life on Thursday, January 1, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, West Virginia with Pastor Chris Day. Burial will follow at Maple Hills Cemetery, Kenova, West Virginia. Joy was born January 18, 1934, in Cabell County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Elgie and Ruth Shepherd Sullivan. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ingram Sullivan, Arnold Sullivan, Elgie Sullivan Jr., Little Bob Sullivan and four sisters, Reba Lafon, Rena Copenhaver, Adele Taylor and Alma Newton. Joy attended Ceredo Christian Baptist Church where she was the pianist for several years. Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, Donald D. Bailey; two sons, Steven and Pamela Bailey and Gary and Beverly Bailey of Huntington, West Virginia; three grandchildren, Angela (Bailey) and Brandon Huff, Dan Bailey and Michael Chaffin; two sisters, Delsie Watson and Elsie Nance; and six great-grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Seth, Eli and Laura Bailey and Della Rylee Huff. SANDRA LEE ROBINSON BALL, 51, of Dunlow, WV was born July 16, 1963 at Chicago, IL. She departed this life on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Ball was a homemaker and member of the New Life Outreach at Fort Gay, WV. Preceding her in death was her father, Rev. Roger Lee Robinson, Sr., son, Matthew Lee Ball, grandson, ‘Little’ Willie Ball and her grandparents, Moses & Jane Baisden and David & Hazel Robinson. Survivors include, her husband, William Ball, Sr., mother, Christine Baisden Robinson of Dunlow, children, Barbara & Brandon Lester of Chapmanville, WV and William Ball, Jr., of Logan, WV, grandchildren, Will Dowdy, Makaela Dowdy, Alexis Lester, Brooklyn Lester, Taylor Lester, Whitney Ball, Waylon Ball, Gionna Chapman, Annabella Ball, Chelsea Ball, Matthew Ball, Jr., & Joshua Ball, siblings, Susan & Scott Ross of Grayson, KY, Sharon & Kenny Damron of Jefferson City, TN, Sherry & Steve Ramey of Crum, WV, Sonda ‘Dee’ & Wayne Meadows of Omar, WV, Sabrina & Kenny Teel of Charleston, WV, Shelly & J.J. GENEVIEVE NOE, 77, of 330 West North Street, Sidney, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015, at her residence. She was born October 20, 1937, in Wayne County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Bert and Edna (Pratt) Thompson. Genevieve is survived by three children, Michael Noe, Sharon (Randy) Caudill and Jeffery (Kim) Noe, all three of Sidney; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Katherine (Charlie) Scoggins of Sumpter, S.C., and Joyce Phillips of Radnor, W.Va. She was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Noe; two sisters; and three brothers. Mrs. Noe was retired from Alcoa, where she had worked for more than 30 years. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother, who enjoyed going to church and various church activities. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Genevieve was a lifetime member of Full Gospel Community Church in Sidney, where a visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 8, at Young Funeral Home in Louisa, Kentucky, with Pastor Jeff Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at Young Funeral Home. Burial will be at Damron Community Cemetery in Wayne County, West Virginia. JOHNNIE DANIEL SANDERS, 62, of Wayne, WV, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, with Elder Garland Perry officiating. Burial followed at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne. He was born June 2, 1952 at West Hamlin, WV, a son of the late James H. and Jean Davidson Sanders. He was a retired self employed truck driver and was a member of the Nestlow United Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Judy Osburn Sanders; a daughter, Missy Skeens and son-in-law, Steve of Wayne, WV; a sister, Bonnie Sisco of Huntington, WV; two brothers, James R. Sanders (Julia A.) of Chicago, IL and Eddie A. Sanders (Ann) of Jasper, AL; two brothers-in-law, Lee Cyrus (Elaine) and John Osburn; a sister-in-law, Pauline Stiltner; and a special cousin, Terry Sanders (Joyce) of Wayne; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Gerrit Kimmey at HIMG and three special nurses, Leeann, Stacie and Cindy at St. Mary’s Infusion Center for their kindness and care. ROBERT LARRY ADKINS, 60, of Huntington, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015, at his residence. Robert was born September 28, 1954, in Cabell County, W.Va., to Kay Bartee Whisman of Wheelersburg, Ohio and the late Robert Adkins. He was a former Kenova police officer and a retired Lake Worth, Fla., police officer with 19 years of service. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman. Memorial services were conducted Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at 6 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Pastor Ray Williamson and Arnold Bias Jr., officiating. In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by brother Kenneth Adkins. In addition to his mother Robert is survived by his step-father Russell Whisman; a brother Timothy Adkins of Atlanta, Georgia; a special niece and spouse Nichole and Jeremy Zamarron of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two special great-nephews Elijah and Noah Zamarron; and special friend Danny Beckley of Kenova. VIRGIL ELMO QUEEN, 77, of Proctorville, OH, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, with Elder Roger Maynard and Brother Raymond Watts officiating. Burial will follow at the Greasy Ridge Cemetery at Dunlow, WV. He was born January 9, 1937 in Wayne County, a son of the late George and Flora Maynard Queen. He was a retired trim setter for Park Drop Forge in Cleveland, OH and served in the Air Force. A brother, Glenn Freeman Queen also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Shirley Copley Queen; a daughter, Brenda Queen Brazis and husband Joseph of Crown City, OH; a son, Shawn Queen (Elizabeth Petrey) of Painesville, OH; a sister, Winnie Faye Dyer of Kenova, WV; two grandchildren, Stan Bennett, Jr. and Joey Brazis, great grandchildren Kyrstin, Brook, Sean and Zoey and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Morris Funeral Home.

BETTY SUE STEPHENS, 50, of Hazard, Ky., formerly of Wayne, W.Va., passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 4, 2015. She was born February 2, 1964 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Sherman and Sadie "Nellie" Stephens. Also preceding her in death was an infant daughter, Ashley Dawn Caldwell, one brother Johnny Lee Stephens, and a sister Doris Lee Stephens. She leaves behind a daughter, Brittany Nicole Stephens; four sisters, Linda Lucas, Virginia Wilson, Nancy Rowe, all of Wayne, and Sally Mae (Donald) Brooks of Dawsonville, Ga.; and three brothers, Roger (Brenda) Stephens of East Lynn, W.Va., Glen (Tammy) Stephens, and ack (Eliza) Stephens, all of Wayne. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Elders Jimmy Lester and Steve Nida officiating. Burial will follow in the Stephens Cemetery. KIM "WHITEY" ROWE, 38, of Genoa, W.Va., passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born May 6, 1976 in Louisa, Ky. His father, Ray Rowe preceded him in death. Whitey is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Rowe, with whom he lived; three brothers, Greg (Lisa) Rowe of High Point, N.C., Brian Rowe of Covington, Ky., and Marvin (Amy) Rowe of Louisa, Ky.; and five special nieces. Also surviving is his fiancé, Tracy Burlingame of Ft. Gay, W.Va., her daughter, Alexis Burlingame, and her son, the late Christopher Burlingame. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Rush Branch Church with Pastor Tommy Kitts officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery. ANNA DAMRON WALLER, 95, of Kermit, West Virginia passed away at her home on Monday, January 5, 2015. She was born on June 19, 1919 in Wayne County, West Virginia to the late Cecil and Rebecca Williamson Damron. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lelon Waller, one son, David Waller and four sisters and one brother. Anna is survived by her children, Glen (Judy) Waller of Chandlersville, Ohio, Faye (Eddie) Hatcher of Kermit, West Virginia, Daralene (Lelon) Stroud, Jenny (Dale) Fluty, Ruby (William) Coleman and Debbie (Larry) Evans all of Kermit, West Virginia along with one daughter in law, Barbara Waller of Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the Warfield Chapel of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home in Warfield, Kentucky on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Birdie Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at the Perry Point Cemetery in Crum, West Virginia. Visitation was Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond- Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.

ED DALTON, 69, of Fort Gay, W.Va., passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born November 11, 1945 in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late John Henry and Dora Adkins Dalton. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Ezra Dalton and John Dalton, and one sister, Nancy McCoy. He is survived by three sisters, Martha Napier, Margaret Queen, and Angeline Sias; two brothers, Charles R. Dalton and Willis Dalton; and his caregiver Dora Thierry, with whom he made his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Freedom Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery. CODY AUSTIN PERRY, 25, of Genoa, W.Va., passed away tragically on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. He was born February 28, 1989 in Huntington, W.Va. His grandfather Elias Lee Perry Jr. preceded him in death, along with one uncle, Murle E. Perry. He leaves behind his parents, Kim and Elias Lee Perry III; grandmother Elizabeth Perry; grandparents Gary and Glenna Jackson; special aunt Stephanie and Calvin Damron III and their children, Kinsey and Zachary Damron, all of Genoa; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention. Graveside services were conducted Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Perry Watts Cemetery with Travis Cassidy officiating and his cousins serving as pallbearers. LORA LYNN MAYNARD-LAKE, 42, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Wayne, WV, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, with Pastors Jake Steele and Earl D. Booton officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery at Wayne. She was born January 13, 1972 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Mary Ann Booton Maynard of Wayne and the late Chester Maynard, Jr. She was a graduate of Wayne High School, Marshall University and Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. Lora was a practicing attorney, working as an assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Cabell County, WV. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the Western Regional Jail Report Center, as well as the Cabell County Victim’s Advisory Board and member of the Cabell County ‘STOP’ team. She was also an organizer of the ‘Christmas Party for the Kids’ benefit drive for the children of Wayne County. Additional survivors include her brothers, Chester H. Maynard of Wayne, WV, and David L. Maynard and wife, Theresa of Genoa, WV; her nieces and nephews, Chester Aaron Maynard, Allen Cameron Tufts, Jeremy David Maynard, Anne Marie Maynard, David Paul Maynard, and Daniel Kent Maynard; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. JUANITA BAISDEN – beautiful, fun-loving, mischievous Juanita Baisden – has gone home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, to be healed and be made whole, and to be re-united with her mother and her sisters she loved and missed so much. She passed peacefully into heaven in the early morning hours of January 6, 2015 at the home of her sister Linda Hughes, her primary caretaker and guardian the past few years. Juanita was born on September 23, 1944 in Breeden, WV to Woodrow Baisden and Alma Collins Baisden. Juanita is survived by her father Woodrow Baisden of Breeden, WV; sisters Minerva (Albert) Perry of Dunlow, WV; Deloris (Andy) Perry of Columbus, OH; Linda (Barry) Hughes of Groveport, OH; Wanda (Charles) Pollinger of Fort Gay, WV; Sheila Baisden of Columbus, OH; and Teresa (Keith) Bare of Columbus, OH; brothers Woodrow Baisden, Jr. of Breeden, WV; and Odell (Deana) Baisden of Breeden, WV; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Collins Baisden, sisters Virginia Baisden and Rita Baisden King, niece Rosella Perry and many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Welcome Home Church on Jennies Creek, West Virginia with Daniel Perry officiating. ROY LEE ADKINS, 69, of Wayne, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Emogene Doline Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Blankenship and Pastor Mike Dillon officiating. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne, WV with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post #6878. Roy was born on September 4, 1945 in Wayne, WV, to the late Edgar Lee Adkins & Opal Osburn Adkins. He was a Christian and retired as a Lab Technician for Pepsi Cola after 36 years. After retirement he was a dedicated gamefowl breeder. Roy was also an Army Veteran of the Vietnam war. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Minis Edward Adkins and sister Helen Mae Adkins Ross. Surviving is his loving wife of 49 years Linda Hunter Adkins, son William Lee Adkins of Wayne, WV, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law, three nieces and three nephews and a special friend Dean Adkins. Special thanks to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their wonderful care. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday. CORNEY C. LETT JR., 93, of Proctorville, Ohio, died January 7, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va. Private family services will take place at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Corney's special request is for flowers to be omitted and memorials be made to VFW Post 6878, PO Box 1139, Proctorville OH 45669, which will conduct military services, or to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 Sixth Ave., Huntington WV 25701. Corney was born in Kenova, W.Va., on May 23, 1921, the only son of the late Rev. Corney C. Lett and Margaret Newsome Lett. He was also predeceased by three sisters, Myrtle, Evelyn and Goldie, his former wife Betty Lee Wallace Lett Huneycutt and a special nephew Gary Lee Mays. He retired from Mountain State Supply Company in Huntington, W.Va. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio. Corney is survived by his wife of 25 years, Erna Lee Perry Bloss Lett; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer Lynn and Robert J May of Reading, Pa.; grandson and wife Mark Nicholas and Brooke May of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; great-grandson Thomas Robert May of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; a special grandson Clayton Lee Bloss of Proctorville, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law Gerald Anthony and Michelle Bloss of Proctorville, Ohio; a special sister-in-law Ella Mae and Harold Poindexter of Huntington; special brothers-in-law Eldreth "Buddy" Perry, and Eldon (Ilena) Perry of East Lynn, W.Va., Noah Perry of Buffalo, W.Va., and Henry Douglas (Ann) Perry of Patriot, Ohio; plus many special nieces and nephews and a very special caregiver Calvin Marcum. Corney served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII in the Air Offensive European Campaign from August 28, 1942 until October 10, 1945. He was a radio operator/gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress. He flew eight missions, was shot down on his second and eighth mission when he was captured in Holland, taken to Krems, Austria, and held by the Germans for 17 months as a Prisoner of War in the Stalag 17B POW camp. He was awarded the Purple Heart with one device, Air Medal, EAME - European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Air Crew Badge and the Good Conduct Medal. Corney was a member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War; Disabled American Veterans; 96th Bomb Group Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. HOWARD TRENTON PAULEY, 86, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Kevin Shull officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, with military graveside rites conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16. He was born June 9, 1928 in Ceredo, Wayne County, W.Va., a son of the late Otto and Lillie Perdue Pauley. He was a medical technician for the Florida Department of Corrections and was a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Charlene Midkiff Pauley; two sisters, Glenna Cline and Jennie Robinson, both of Wayne, W.Va.; a brother-in-law, Jack Combs of Wayne; a step-daughter, Debbie (Tom) Edwards of Barboursville, W.Va.; two step-sons, Dale (Rose) Miller of Salt Rock, W.Va., and Douglas (Noreen) Miller of Barboursville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. WILLIAM CLINTON SKEENS, JR., age 88, of Barboursville, died at St. Mary's Medical Center on January 8, 2015. He was born July 27, 1926, in Wayne County. He was the son of the late William Clinton Skeens, Sr., and the late Effie Perdue Skeens. He was a graduate of Buffalo (Wayne) High School. During WWII, he served in the US Navy on the USS Helm. After the war he was employed by Texaco, Inc. for 27 ½ years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Billups and Marian Osburn. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Herma Lee Roberts Skeens, a son, Dr. Michael Skeens (Joyce) of Ona, a daughter, Vicki Skeens Cartmel (Tom) of Buchanan, Ky.; six grandchildren, Suzanne Smith, Jaqueline Elkins, Jennifer Skeens, Amanda (Jeremy) Jones, Katelynn (Justin) Menshouse and Clin ton Skeens. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Benjamin Elkins, Tabitha Smith, and Carleigh Smith and a sister, Peggy Ullom of Ceredo. Funeral services will be at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, on Monday, January 12, 2015, at 1 p.m. with Willie Purdee, Minister, officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. ERNESTINE SKEAN,68, of Kenova, WV. passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 in Heritage Center. She was born January 15, 1946 in Kenova a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Ada Money Skean. She was a member of the Poplar Street Church of God. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother Larry Joseph Skean and a sister Elaine Burris. Survivors left to cherish her memory are two brothers and their wives Charles Skean (Jane) of Kenova and Ernest Skean (Barbara) of Fairborn, Ohio; two sisters and their husbands Violet Loretta Blackburn (Odie) of Fairborn, Ohio and Auneca Sperry (Wesley) of Huntington; one brother-in-law Jarrett Burris of Kenova and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. GEORGE ROBERT TROUT, 91, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Friday January 9, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born April 3, 1923 in Mallory, WV to the late Charles Trout and Rosa Marshall Trout. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Naida Trout; three sisters Mary Simpkins, Shirley Tiller, and Elizabeth Trout; and one brother John W. "Bill" Trout. Trout of Oregon, Ohio, numerous great nieces and nephews including Bob Bartram and Marc Bartram; and additional loving family Judy Gail Hilton, Joanne Watts, and Joe and Mona Sue Wilson. He was a WWII Army veteran of 10th Mountain Division of the Third Battalion. He retired from the Detroit and Toledo Shoreline Railroad. There will be no services. RONALD LEE BRANHAM, 58, of Huntington, W.Va. formerly of Louisa, Ky. passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at his home. He was born June 29, 1956 in Louisa, Ky. a son of Floyd C. Branham and the late Billie Jean Blackburn Branham. He was a United States Navy Veteran and was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Lynn Branham. Survivors include, his father, Floyd C. JULIA FAY HACKNEY, 67, of Lavalette, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born May 21, 1947, at Stiltner, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ethel and Clyde Napier. Her son Johnny Scott Stevenson also preceded her in death, along with two brothers, Herbert Dyer and Bobbie Dyer, and one sister, Bessie Martin. Julia was a member of Canada Chapel. She leaves behind her husband, Larry "Pete" Hackney; two sons, Gary Stevenson Jr. and Amanda Starbird of Dunlow, W.Va., and Scotty James (Laura) Hackney of South Point, Ohio; two daughters, Stephanie Stevenson and Christopher Adkins of Lavalette, and Tina Louise (Hobert) Southerland of Wayne; five grandchildren, Trey Stevenson, Julia Stevenson, Timothy Stevenson, Collin Toney and Tucker Toney; and six step-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Louise Ratcliff of Gallipolis, Ohio, Mae (Jack) Slazo of Holden, W.Va., Gaynell Tyree of Dunbar, W.Va., Earnestine (Junior) Gilkerson of Wayne, and Donna (David) Pearson of East Lynn; two brothers, Fred (Joyce) Dyer of Lapeer, Mich., and Jimmy Clyde (Pat) Napier of East Lynn; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention. OKEY TOMBLIN, 88, of Huntington passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Okey was born January 2, 1927 in Logan County, WV on of 18 children to the late Obie and Ella Williamson Tomblin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. Okey was a hand buffer for Houdaille Industries for 34 years. He was a minister for 56 years and a 32nd degree member of the Huntington Lodge #53 AF&AM Masonic Lodge for 50 plus years. He was also a member of the Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted by Elder Glen Whited on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington. CLINTON EDWARD FLUTY, 57, of Crum, West Virginia passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at his home. DONALD RAY McSWEENEY, Sr., 76, of Ft McCoy, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Legacy House in Ocala. Donald was a native of Wayne, WV and had been a resident of Ft. McCoy for 40 years coming from Grand Rapids, MI. He was a retired die setter in the automotive industry. He enjoyed deer hunting, woodworking, fishing and cooking, having cooked for many family gatherings. He loved taking care of his family friends. ELDER SHERMAN D. McGOWN, 86, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington. Elder McGown was born on December 16, 1928, in Wayne County, W.Va., to the late Delbert McGown and Edna Akers Nelson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War. He was a salesman for Broughton's Dairy before he retired after 37 years. He was saved by grace on December 28, 1952. He was an Elder in the United Baptist Church. DALE CARLTON HATTEN, 88, of Kenova, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. He was born October 9, 1926 in Kenova, a son of the late Frank and Florence Plymale Hatten. Dale was a graduate of Buffalo High School. He was a farmer and for 58 years helped run the Hatten Dairy. Dale was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II where he was a Section Leader serving with Company C of the 405th Infantry Regiment. He was selected as a Pallbearer for the funeral of General George Patton. Dale was a life member of American Legion Post #93 Kenova whose Military Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites. In addition to his parents Dale was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Dale Hatten and three sisters, Juanita Booth, Wanda Harper and Lucy Rollins. Dale leaves behind a family he loved, especially his wife of 66 years, Zelda Mae Smith Hatten; three grandchildren, Scott W. WILLIAM JOHN RITTER, 59, of Napier’s Ridge, East Lynn started his journey with the Lord on Saturday January 17, 2015 surrounded by his family. John (known to most as "Wally") was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. Born in Huntington on February 3, 1955, he will be forever missed. With a gentle heart and a kindness not often found, Wally never met a stranger and always gave more than he received. Wally will always be remembered as an intellectual with a passion for learning. John was an accomplished motorcycle racer and an amazing mechanic, with affection for animals of all kinds. He is survived by his daughter Cindy "Ritter" Gooderham; two grandchildren, Steven and Holly; brothers, Charles, Mark and Christopher Ritter and sister, Deborah Ritter; as well as nieces and nephews Jeremy, Candice, Ryan and Lauren Ritter. John was preceded in his journey by his mother and father Wanda and Don Ritter of Huntington, and his beloved Grandmother, Edith Morrison of East Lynn. John touched many people with his knowledge and kindness as well as his many stories. He was an honest man with a heart of gold. We have all lost a friend. ANDREW JOHNSON FRY V, 62, of Dunedin, Fla., formerly of Wayne County, W.Va., passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Brookside Hospice in Palm Harbor, Fla. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne. He was born January 8, 1953, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of Andrew Johnson Fry, IV and Elenor Blankenship Fry of East Lynn, W.Va. Andy joined A.T. Massey Coal as a sales representative in 1976 and soon rose through the ranks to become its vice-president of metallurgical coal sales, a position he held until 1991. In 1991 he left A.T. Massey to form AMCI Coal Sales, serving as its president until 2001. In 2002 he held the same position with American Metallurgical Coal Sales (AMCS), the successor company formed to replace AMCI Coal Sales. He left AMCS once it was acquired by Alpha Natural Resources and formed Winding Gulf Coal Sales, which later became Superior Coal Sales, serving as president from 2002-2013. In 2014, Andy formed Maxim Coal Services, LLC which specialized in buying and selling distressed coal properties. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Rosemary Fry (Henry Smith) of East Lynn, W.Va.; a nephew, Christopher Blankenship (Jessie) and a great-nephew, Elliott Blankenship, and numerous other family and friends. WILDA PAULINE AILIFF FINLEY DEITZ DORSEY, 79, of Huntington, passed away on January 23, 2015. She was born on April 15, 1935 in Wayne County; a daughter of Wayne Ailiff and Marie Thacker. She was a member of the Vinson Memorial Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Donald Ray Finley. Wilda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Frank Dorsey; her children: Dianna Medley Pleasant, Teresa Childers (Danny), Joyce Ann Deitz, Priscilla Lofsness (Scott) and Frances Ward (Randy). Also surviving are her grandchildren: John, Carl Edward, Shawn, Aaron, Darla and Becky; her special great-granddaughter Sierra, other numerous great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Her wishes were to be cremated so there will be no services. Her cremains will be entombed in the mausoleum at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington. LOWELL JEFFREY MAYNARD, 47, of Dunlow, W.Va., passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He was born May 18, 1967 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Elvin and Frances Maynard. His infant sister Joyce Maynard also preceded him in death. Lowell was a US Army veteran and was employed in accounting at Fed Ex. Lowell had many talents; he worked with children as a psychologist; and loved skiing, tennis, running 5ks, and life in general. He was loved by many. Survivors include four sisters, Lois McCann of east Lynn, W.Va.; Marie Bugg (Ruthford) of Lafayette, Ga., Pauline Workman; Justine Bowen; and Lorene Talbert (Eric), all of Dunlow, W.Va.; one brother, Delmas Maynard (Sandy) of Dunlow; five nieces; 4 nephews; many great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; as well as friends and family too numerous to mention. funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Roger Maynard officiating. RONNIE GENE MILLS, 52, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away at home Friday, January 23, 2015. He was born February 10, 1962 in Lincoln County, W.Va., a son of the late Ollie and Shirley Mills. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Elva Sue Levering; and one brother, Ollie Mills. Ronnie leaves behind three sons, Ronnie Mills of Wayne, Thomas Brandon Mills (Amy) of Kenova, W.Va., Joey Cockeril of Catlettsburg, Ky.; one daughter, Krystal North of Kenova; and one brother, Teddy Mills of Huntington, W.Va. DELORES "LOIS" ANN HECK TREDWAY, 81, of Ceredo, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. She was born August 18, 1933, in Lincoln Co., W.Va., a daughter of the late Ivan and Mae Midkiff Heck. Lois graduated from West Virginia State College with her B.S. in Elementary Education and received her M.A. in Speech Communication from West Virginia University. She retired from the Putman County School System, where she had been a teacher for 20 years. She was a member of the American Federation of Teachers and Delta Phi Delta Sorority. She was also a member and past treasurer of American Legion Unit 93 Auxiliary. Lois was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ceredo and had formerly served as a church secretary. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Tredway, and two brothers, Bill Heck and Jennings Heck. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Marino of Florida; a granddaughter, Melissa Marino of North Carolina; a grandson, Ricky Marino of Florida; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Frank Heck and Larry and Jo Heck; one sister, Rose Hatten and Alan Scarbrough; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Ceredo. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the church. MAXINE BOWEN, 93, of Ashland, Ky., formerly of Kenova, W.Va., went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 24, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Randy Jeffers and Rev. Maxine was born in Olive Hill, Ky., November 13, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Lavina Cheek. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert Bowen, grandson David Dolen Jr., three sons in laws: Bob Younce, Harrison Smith and Collie Holton Jr., and 15 brothers and sisters. Maxine was a member of Park Circle Free Will Baptist Church of Kenova for 51 years where she served as secretary for her Sunday school class and a charter member of the ladies auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Jewel Holton, Sonny (Helen) Bowen, Bonnie Younce, Pamela (David) Dolen and Alisa (Chris) Hunter; one sister, Austie Jewel Hoskins; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, three great- great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be grandsons Robby Younce, Mark and Joey Smith, Frankie Bowen, Timmy Cornwell and Kaleb Newman. WAND LEE FRASHER, born at Foley, Taylor County, Fla., Nov. 18, 1928, to Susie Estell (Scott) (1912-1994) and "Nat" Mixon (1884- 952). She died of lung cancer in Beckley, W.Va., January 25, 2015, at Bower’s Hospice. Since March, 2014, she had resided in Shady Spring, W.Va., with son, Gary, and wife, Brenda, and best friend and loyal companion, Chipper. She was married Nov. 1, 1945, to Robert Frasher (1923-2002) of Monitor, W.Va. Robert had served in the Army Air Force during World War II and later graduated from Marshall University in 1948 and 1965. She and her husband of 57 years resided in Orlando, Fla. from 1956 on following residences in WV, OH, NY, and TX. She was a bookkeeper and Robert was a CPA in Orlando, Fla., prior to their retirement. She was a faithful member of the South Bumby Church of Christ in Orlando. She was widowed in Orlando, Fla. and preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Patricia Mixon, Dean Mixon, Jerry Mixon, and Kenneth Mixon, all of Perry, Fla.; by Robert’s parents, Garland Frasher Sr. and wife, Leaffy (Morrison), his brother, Donald Frasher, and wife, Gertrude, and his sisters, Helen (Frasher) Bash and husband, Gorman, and Eula (Frasher) Whittaker. She is survived by son, Gary Frasher, and wife, Brenda (Carter), Brenda’s children and grandchildren; sister, Hulda (Mixon) Tucker and husband, John; brother, George Mixon, and wife, Donna (Osteen); sister-in-law, Thursy (Frasher) Baker, and husband, Cebern; brothers-in-law, Garland Frasher Jr. and wife, Beth Ann, and John Frasher, and wife, Virginia; and by many nieces and nephews of her and Robert’s brothers and sisters. On a brand new knee, BRETT MICHAEL ADKINS, 34, ran into the arms of Jesus and then into the arms of his parents, Ellis and Jerry Lou Smith Adkins on January 26, 2015. He was a member of the Kenova Church of God where he was an usher and enjoyed singing. He attended DATS Adult Day Center with his special friend, Becky Brewster. They were widely known for their performance of The Nutcracker during the Christmas Programs and were Valentine King and Queen several times. Brett lived with his brother Greg, his "Bubub"; Julie, his "Mam"; Kyle, "Big Man"; T.J., "Friend" his best friend in the whole wide world and Lucky dog. He is also survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Eugene Adkins and Bruce and Debbie Adkins; his sister, Denise Fischer; his Granny, Ruth Plymale; his sister-in-law, Mindy Napier; his nieces and nephews, Corey, Hillary and Fox Adkins, Kasey Adkins, Derek and Allison Waggoner, Wesley Lemons, Shae Fischer, Kristen Napier and a host of family. Pallbearers will be "his brothers" and "his girlfriends" E.J. Ainsley, Josh Brown, Heidi Buscher, Emma Chaney, Stacie Daniels, Sadie Dowell, Bethany Drury, and Gary Thompson. Brett's hugs, his smiles and his laughter were infectious. He made us better people just by knowing him. He gave un-conditional love and taught us how to love unconditionally. GLEN E. McCLOUD, 81, of Proctorville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. He was born September 25, 1933, in Genoa, W.Va., son of the late John and Mary Alice McCloud. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two siblings, Billy McCloud and Norris McCloud. He attended Dillon Chapel Church in Athalia, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Donna McCloud; three daughters, Deborah (Billy) McNeely, Marcie Waugh and Linda D. McBee; three grandchildren, Ashley McNeely, Adam McNeely and Michael Waugh; one great-grandchild Brody Waugh; three sisters, Shirley Marcum, Jewel Flora and Kathryn Jordan; two brothers, Roy McCloud and Tommy McCloud; and many special nieces and nephews. PATRICIA SUE GRAHAM, 83, of Lavalette, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, after an extended illness. She was born July 1, 1931, in Huntington, W.Va., one of ten children of the late Grover and Nola McCoy Adkins. Patricia was a retired postmaster (Lavalette), and co-owner of Graham's Antiques (Huntington), where she always enjoyed meeting and talking with everyone. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Jack E. Graham, who was her loving caregiver and constant companion, and her children Jackie Hensley (Randy), Mark Graham and Lisa Dandelet (Jim); her grandchildren Travis Hensley, Holly Simpkins, Lindsey Dandelet, Jason Dandelet and Mackenzie Graham; her great-grandchildren Taylor Hensley and Jayce Dandelet, and special friends Bill Lewis, Chris Dunmore, and Betty Swann. She has two surviving sisters, Betty Mynes and Nancy Young, both of Huntington, and many special nieces and nephews. Patricia was a wonderful, caring, giving person with a zest for life. She instilled a love of family and tradition that will live on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and friends. Sunday dinners were a must, and nothing could compare to Nanna Pat's cooking. In Nanna and Grampy's home, birthdays were celebrated, Christmas was magical, children were loved, and nothing was too hard for family. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Amy Marsteller for her kindness and care, and to the Hospice staff for their assistance and support. JERRY LEE BELCHER, 59, of Louisa, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born Paintsville, Kentucky on July 3, 1955 to Walter and Martha Belcher. Jerry is preceded in death by brothers, Roger Belcher and John David Sinagal. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Irene Messer Belcher and one daughter, Misty (Charley) Burton of Louisa, Kentucky and one granddaughter, McKinley Burton. He is also survived by four brothers, William Belcher of Kermit, West Virginia, Keith Belcher of Charleston, West Virginia, Tom Belcher and Jim Belcher both of Mansfield, Ohio and three sisters, Kathy Deskins of Logan, West Virginia, Tina Queen of Mansfield, Ohio and Ruth Clark of Charleston, West Virginia along with a dear and loving cousin, Joan Callaham. Jerry worked for the Martin County Water District as a plant operator and was a member of the Ft. Gay Church of Christ. She was born March 1, 1918 in Catlettsburg, Ky. a daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian Bolt Elswick. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, John D. Riddle and George Wellman ;sons, Danny Riddle, Marion "Moon" Riddle, Samual Riddle; daughter, Constance Riddle; grandchildren John Riddle, and Kim Hewlett; 3 deceased brothers, 2 deceased sisters. Survivors include, one son, Roger Riddle of Catlettsburg, Ky.; sister, Lillian DeMoss; grandchildren, Robin Ferguson of Catlettsburg, Ky.; Pam (Mike) Christian of South Point, Ohio; Ruth (Kenny) Bryan of Ashland, Ky.; Orville (Jennifer) Riddle of Stewart, Va.; Amanda Cordle of Catlettsburg, Ky.; 11 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. WILLIE GLEN DAMRON, 86, of Genoa, W.Va., a loving husband, father, and Papaw, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 30, 2015. He was born June 8, 1928 in Logan County, W.Va., a son of the late Nathan and Addie Damron. One son, Ricky Glen Damron also preceded him in death, along with three brothers, Ivory Damron, Larry Damron, and Berman Damron. Glen was a retired timberman and a member of the Brush Creek United Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Edith Damron; one son, Roger Damron and his wife Hester; two granddaughters, Shandra Jenkins, and Chastity Ballard and her husband Kirk; and five great- randchildren, Robbie and Molly Jenkins, and Chance, Reagan, and Jaxon Ballard. Also surviving is one sister Imogene Parsons; one brother Royce Damron; special friend Dallas McClellan; and a host of family and friends. DORIS H. EVANS, 88, of Fort Gay, W.V. passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Jordan Center in Louisa, Ky. She was born January 30, 1927 in Crum, W.V. a daughter of the late William Lewis and Eliza Marcum Perry. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Manual Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Evans; two sisters, Juanita Jarrell, and Ruth Ann Chaffins; one brother, Charles Perry. Survivors include, one son, Douglas Evans of Fulton, Ohio; one grandson, Larry Evans also of Fulton, Ohio. CASEY DAN BURDETTE, 22, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015, at his residence. Casey was born June 13, 1992 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Danny Alan Hite. He was a 2010 graduate of Spring Valley High School, and worked for Auto Zone at the Route 60 East location. Casey loved old MoPar cars and was a member of the Buffalo Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother and her husband, Marianne and Drew Campbell of Catlettsburg, KY; his father, John M. Burdette of Huntington; a brother, Kevin J.
